I have returned from an afternoon at the theater.  It was a good performance, for the most part.  I wasn't terribly impressed with the male lead, but he was okay.  It is hard to do wrong with that play, it is pretty darned funny.

Last night for Halloween I watched the 1968 version of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD...darn, that movie still gives me the creeps. After watching the movie I then watched it again with commentary by several of the cast members. It was fun listening to them reminisce about how the film was made, etc. There is a second commentary with different cast/crew members which I will listen to at some point in the future.

This has been a favorite movie of mine since my friends Dave and Steve and I dared to finally get the courage to watch it on late night tv one weekend when we were in the 7th grade. Scared the wits out of all three of us.

Here is the trailer, which used to run on TV during the day time when the movie was going to air on Creature Features. As a tiny kid, I would run from the TV set when it came on...and no wonder...look how creepy it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gUKvmOEGCU

It amazes me that they would show this ad on daytime tv during the early 70s.

This movie figured prominently in Friday's episode of "Medium."  Allison had dreams where she was part of the movie.  It was a good episode.

123 posts?  Yesterday over 400.  The day before over 400.  Is everyone coming down off their sugar highs.  This will NOT do.

DR MBarnum, thanks for the trailer link.  It should help when I finally watch the MEDIUM episode.  Now I understand the wig/hair style Allison is wearing in the previews we watched.

For those lucky enough to have it - is the programming on TCM HD the same as on TCM regular?

DR VIXMOM what great pictures....and what a great house!  Love the shake shingles and the big window.....do any of the living room panes open?  We have two streets of houses like yours in Mooresville and they are well taken care of and beautiful....I love to walk down Carlisle Street and Hadley Street.

I have been trying to get sick for the last week.  I wish it would hurry up and happen or just be gone.  I have a plane to catch in eleven days!

Have to admit I was surprised to hear about both Neil Simon plays closing. (One before it even opened) Has the day of Neil Simon come to an end?

Good Evening!

Who knew there was a really good Vietnamese restaurant in the Bronx?

Well, I - and some of my friends - now know. :)

Getting ready for Mad Men.  HD-Net movies showed Baby Jane and I recorded it and just started watching it - it looks pretty great in HD.

Hmm, I just saw a Walmart commercial that uses "We Need a Little Christmas" for its soundtrack.

I forgot to mention that I noticed on Friday - the day before Halloween - that our downtown area already had all the old-fashined lampposts decked out in green garlands and wreaths and lights.  Perhaps they haven't turned the lights ON yet, but still....      :P
