DR MATTH - the MAD MEN episode takes you right back to that day - when the behavior of the adults was puzzling and very different from anything we had seen before.

I decided to take the day off (well the afternoon off) since nothing arrived in the mail. I'm going to go ahead and rewatch MONSTERS INC. tonight, the first time I will have seen it in HD and the first time I've seen the movie at all in YEARS.

I should have time to watch it tonight.

HA!  It took some doing, but I finally found my first HHW post, from March 2, 2007:

Hello, there, all-  And thanks for the welcome!

I've been lurking since I discovered you around the time of the Oscar [Wilde] bash...what a great community you've developed here!

I used to post frequently over at Sondheim.com, some years back, and recognize S. Woody from there.

I was wondering if any of you have had a chance to sample the new recording of Flaherty's "Loving Repeating"?  What with all the quick wit and worldplay here [led by the inestimable BK], I would think it would be a natural for many of you.  I enjoyed the score, at any rate, although I guess Gertrude Stein is an acquired taste.

In any case, best regards to all-

I was so late getting back from lunch that I was a little freaked out, but then I checked the mail and there was no ZORRO. ZERO on ZORRO!

No UPS shipments today either. A very frustrating day.

And DR elmore3003 chimed right in with this good advice for a newcomer:

Welcome, DR Singdaw!  DR Sandra will ask if you like cherry Coke, DR MBarnum will ask if you're a body builder.  If the answer to either is yes, leave now while you can!  ;D

So, when I got in I watched two PERRY MASON episodes so I could finish up disc 2 in the first season set.

The first one had no guest stars of note, but the second had Miss Joi Lansing (in a nothing part; barely a red herring) and Frances Bavier years before she became Aunt Bea.

Then I scanned through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Ah, what a wonderful episode as the beautiful Oliver and Kyle finally made a connection/ Only with their lips, but it's been one fans of the couple have been waiting on for many months!

Our NYC apartment saga continues.  The envelope (provided by DR Julie) in which I sent back the mailbox key was returned to me in today's post.  Seems I'd used the wrong address and zip code.  In my email exchange with our landlady, I learned that the elevator in the building is now operational (as of last Thursday).  She says everyone is thrilled and we'll get one night's rent added to the refund of our deposit  ;D

Thank you all for your concerns.  I have too many things to do this week to be sitting around being sick.  If i can manage to get showered and then dressed, I will go and get some Hot and Sour soup.  My doctor calls it a miracle cure.

TCB, I do want to thank you for spending your day home getting your holiday shopping done.  I just received a PM from the owner of Blu-ray.com saying his mind was blown over the sales HD Moods: Fire is generating.

I just noticed that there's a documentary about the Leo Frank case on PBS tonight.  I think I'll go set the DVR to record it.

I will be tuning in. The ladies who are doing the fundraising for our current film also did fundraising for this one. Looking forward to finally seeing it!

Well, not too many years before;  PERRY MASON debuted in 1957 and THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW in 1960.

Has anyone here listened to any of the Broadway CARES "Carols for a Cure" CD releases?   Are they a good thing?   I mean, I know the cause is great, but how are the CDs?

Then, on 01/16/2003 you changed mid-stream/day to "JRand52".

I have a couple of the CDs. I like them.

Are they up on iTunes or Amazon so that you can listen to samples from them?
