Well the drive for Hot and Sour Soup seemed entirely too long.  The Chicken Noodle Soup in the deli at Safeway was down to the dregs.  I finally drove to KFC for a large mashed potatoes and gravy; which may not be healthy, but is comfort food.

I joined Sept. 19, 2006, (Elmore's birthday!) and I blame Grant Geissman.
Researching how to credit Grant on imdb for our Ociee Nash soundtrack, I saw a mention of TFNM, which caused me to reflect back on that movie and wonder if it was out on DVD. In researching that I found HHW. I read a few of the posts and decided to make a small donation to the site and immediately received a thank you. The people here were so friendly I felt at home.

That was over 10,000 posts ago!

My first one was in response to bk's question about candy bars:

Wow---I feel like I've stumbled into a wonderful alternative universe!

I have to submit my favorite weird candy bar names, which were made by Toms and consumed at the bowling alley when I was a child: "Full Dinner" which was bascially like a Butterfinger, (and where did *that* name come from?) and "Chicken Dinner Jr." which was one I was always afraid to try.

I'm new to this forum thing but will try to paste a picture of Chicken Dinner into this email.

I forgot to mention that I watched BROTHERS & SISTERS before I headed out to lunch. Tommy was back for a one episode visit. The Luc storyline was ridiculous. The father is remarried and the mom is worried the kids will freak out because she's dating? The logic escapes me.

Kevin and Scotty had unecessary drama with their surrogate.

Uncle Saul catches Ryan rifling through Holly's desk and kind of shrugs it off after the kid feeds him a slick snake oil explanation.

In other words, I found last night's episode pretty infuriating.

I'm heading down now to watch MONSTERS, INC. on Blu-ray and then last night's MAD MEN.

VERTIGO comes on TCM-HD tonight, and I will be watching some of that "live."

"11/02/2002"!! -Happy HHW Anniversary, DR JRand*!!

Yes, DR Jose, I found the same anomalies:

The first Jack Randall Earles reference I found was this one:

And a good friend of mind Jack Randall Earles, also has his first review in the new Scarlet Street (though he hasn't told me what he reviewed--maybe you could enlighten us). JR is another Farmer fanatic (or Franatic, as I term those of us with this particular obsession), and also has a lot of acting credits. Indeed, for those interested in flops, he actually did "Miss Moffat" with Ginger Rogers in Indy.

I, also found that November 2, 2002 “first post” by Jack.

Please note the second post I could find by Jack:

Great chat last night 8-D

And I, too, noted that he was then using Jrand55.

And by January 2003:

Positively eerie isn't it, Laura?
DVD - Paradise Hawaiian Style with Elvis Presley from 1966. Fun music and beautiful leading lady topography - the other scenery is pretty good too.
CD - Si Ventner with the Johnny Mann Singers Swinging the Big Bands, Miss Nancy Wilson (that woman can sing), Yvette Vickers Sings (sort of).
VHS - Portrait in Black with Lana Turner, Anthony Quinn, Sandra Dee & John Saxon. Exactly how MANY movies about murder could Lana Turner make?
Febroooooooary promises some interesting things for all of us. Won't it be wonderful?

Matt, it was not an outstanding episode of B&S. Balthazar Getty guest starred to remind us all of why we don't miss him. The fact that Saul gave Ryan a pass gave the show an air of science fiction. I do continue to enjoy Patricia Wettig on this show.

I just turned on BONANZA and who should be starring in this episode but Miss Teresa Wright, who less than 24 hours ago was a young thing beyond a SHADOW OF A DOUBT.....one of those jarring juxtapositions that happens in the TV world now and then.

I shall look forward to DR MATTH's thoughts on ZORRO, Disney Style.  We loved the theme song!

Teresa Wright starred in one of my favorite TV movies, a chiller called CRAWLSPACE (with Arthur Kennedy). Nifty book, too.
