Because I fear it will begin something. He will retaliate or something. He also trimmed the palm tree and put the fronds in my yard. I don't know what's wrong with him.

I just read the answers to my questions.  Sorry about your neighbor.

DR GINNY wins for busiest day contest - so far.

I'm going to be spending the day moving the dirt that the next-door-neighbor put behind my fence when he excavated to do some backyard project. I got a citation from the city for it.

:o The city won't cite the neighbor instead?
Are you being nice or is this a neighbor who won't clean up the mess?

It's behind my fence. The city doesn't care who put it there. This is not Mr. Goldstein, by the way. It's the guy on the other side.

Hello to all from Toronto!  Where the weather appears to be about the same as it is in New York.

If you happen to visit a book store please ask if they have "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest".

LOL-I was sure it wasn't Mr. Goldstein.

I am thinking about buying a larger monitor for my computer.  Off to check what is available.

I have a 22" widescreen monitor, and I LOVE it. I'd never had one this size, and it took a lot of getting used to when I first got it. It felt like I was falling into the screen because it was so much larger than I was used to (and widesceen). Now I'm so used to it that I take it for granted.

I LOVE my widescreen monitor, also!  I will NEVER go back to a 4:3 monitor at home.  I have a 4:3 monitor at work, but at least that's a flat screen, so it's not bad at all.

I have never seen INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU. Hopefully, some cable channel will play it one day.

It's available on Netflix, if you subscribe to Netflix.

Errands are run. Now I shall make some ginger tea and hope it helps this damned cold clear out.

Barnes & Noble shipped my GOLDEN APPLE vocal score; it just arrived looking mighty pretty.

According to www.bn.com, it's already out of stock!  You got the only copy!

Well, if I make him angry, he will call the City on me, and I don't want the gummit in my backyard.

Laura, how many bodies could you possibly have buried in the back yard?

DR Jane re: whether "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" is available in canada.

I'm not sure. I have not been to the book store in a while. I see only the first 2 books at my library. And when i go to amazon.ca i see that the audio book is coming out this month. but it doesn't show the book.

Any chance you can call a bookstore & ask?  I'm very curious.

I looked on chapters.ca which is the biggest book chain here. They have the same listings as their stores. And there was no mention of the book. Not sure. Next time i go to the bookstore i will keep an eye out for it.

DR Jane, i dont think they know if the cousin has H1N1. I know my sis said she was very sick sunday night. And they went to the hospital and asked to be tested for it. But at the time, maybe she was not sick enough (?) because they didn't do it.

I don't really know this kid. i only know her aunt (who is my sister's friend). it is the first time I met her (at trick-or-treating).

Here they are not even testing for H1N1 unless you are hospitalized or have died.

DR Jane i checked my library again for that book and it says that it is forthcoming. Then i did a check for the author and it shows volume 3 available already in french.

It says the 3rd volume is: "La reine dans le palais des courants d'air".  So my guess is the book is only available in french. But i think it can be ordered from amazon.uk.

I don't see why they can't do the test if you show the symptoms and ask for it.

Because they are overwhelmed with test samples. Also, they are not tracking it any more; they know it is here.

Thanks, DR JMK.  I hadn't heard.    :)

And thank you, DR elmore3003!    ;)

I will be on the lookout, DR Jane, but it sounds like it may not be here yet.

And let me just say this:  Canada has very good hot chocolate.       :D

Here is a photo from the production of GLORIOUS that I did in January.  It was the story of one of DR Laura's favortie singers, Florence Foster Jenkins.

DR George is probably the only person who will recognize both actors in the photo; however, BK should take note of the gentleman on my right.  He will be the director of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X in Olympia next Spring.

Question: Was Marin Mazzie in the the pre-Broadway company of RAGTIME when it played the Shubert in Los Angeles?

I had never heard of LA LA LAND before today, but they don't seem to have anything that would appeal to me, however PERCEPTO RECORDS sure does...DR JRand, have you seen the 5 volume set of Ronald Stein music CD that they have? I may have to spring for that.

Wow, looking at links that PERCEPTO RECORDS has to other film music places, one that looks fantastic is SCREEN ARCHIVES, they have some cool CDs of Akira Ifkube music (he scored many of Toho film's sci fi and samurai movies)

Resting in the room after having done some convention stuff.  Getting ready after a bit to head out to dinner with the DH and some of his work colleagues.  Here in Toronto for the biennial convention of the Union for Reform Judaism.
