I've been listening to the soundtrack to Midnight in ghe Garden of Good and Evil, all Johnny Mercer songs.  I love Skylark and Autumn Leaves

I spent all day working in the yard and taking breaks to run errands.   I went to see what was at the auction early this morning and didn't see one thing I really needed or really wanted so I didn't go when the auction was on.  I decided it was the best way to save $$.

Back from a lovelier than lovely luncheon with dear reader Jeannie.  The food was fine, the conversation sparkled, and she had a really good thought as to what my problems are with the left side of the mouth.  She feels that my natural bite may have been thrown off by the placement of the new crown and that my mouth muscles are compensating and getting really sore - that makes total sense, so I'll call Dr. Chew and see if he can check it out and maybe file it down or re-position the crown.

That is a very good guess.  Sometimes it takes a few visits to get the sizing right, and more comfortable.

Or it could have been those Big Hunks. ;)

bk - Are you taking anything right now to relieve the pain? Tylenol, Advil, etc.? I guess as long as it just "aches" and doesn't "sting", you should be OK for now. Can you tell if you have any redness or swelling?

I don't really think there are serious prospects for Adriana right now - I take all of this with a grain of salt.  The producer has worked a lot in TV, that's all I really know.  But it's good to pass on these excellent suggestions.

I wonder if any of Disney's or Nickelodeon's current batch of "tween stars" would work?

I could kick myself that I didn't decide to go to Rome one day earlier.  I could have easily left on Wednesday instead of Thursday, since Wednesday is a holiday.  It never occured to me that the Vatican would be closed all day on Sunday (It is a church!), and that they would be closed a half day on Saturday.  So, I have now purchased a 10:30 a.m. Saturday ticket for a two hour Vatican / Sistine Chapel tour.

Anything else I get to see will be gravy, I guess.

LOL.  You aren't working too much.  He needed a passport as did Kitty when she came.

My money is on the Big Hunks.  I just had a crown put in last Tuesday, and my dentist told me to avoid anything really chewy for, at least, a couple of weeks.

I'm sure there is plenty to see in Rome, plus you can relax some while you adjust to the time change.

If you are a "registered" Catholic and contact your diocesan office, they can sometimes arrange special tours for you.

My poor niece is not feeling well after her thursday flu shot.

She had a fever yesterday and was totally out of it. And now in the middle of the night she woke up with a bloody nose which she got everywhere. And now she has a fever again (close to 103F). But at least the meds are bringing it down.

I know it is a common symptom in kids to get this reaction after the H1N1 shot. IT just sucks. My poor sis is losing her mind because she is so tired.

Poor Megan, & your sister.  Are you going over to help? What meds did they give her?  I really hadn't read about the reactions to the shot.  I thought only the live virus would cause this kind of severe reactions.  Reminds me of the 2 times I had the old, live virus, flu shots as a kid.  Both times I got the flu after recovering from my reaction.

VIBES YOUR  NIECE FEELS BETTER & STAYS THAT WAY!!!

yes i went over there. My sis is very stressed out. i wouldn't call this a severe reaction. But she still had fever today (although it went down each time she got meds). She also threw up.

I think they are giving her tempra (that is what kids get when they have a fever).

Yeah... I'm wondering if some sugar could have worked it's way under/into the crown.

re: adriana casting

I was thinking about young actresses currently on tv shows.

There is a new girl on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES who is Carlos' niece ana Her name is maiara Walsh. I think she is around 20. But she is playing a 16 year old. She is a vixen.

Also big right now is canadian (she used to be on a show called degrassi) Nina Dobrev. She is currently the star of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and is playing a 17ish year old (she is also around 20).

On HEROES we have hayden Panettiere.

I was also thinking there are a bunch of girls on 90210 that are in the right age group: Shenae grimes (annie), analynne mccord (naomi)(she has also been on nip/tuck), jessica lowndes (who plays adrianna).

Hmmmm.... When I think of Adriana Hofstetter, "vixen" and "TV soap slutty" are NOT the first things that come to my mind.  -Yes, they may draw in viewers, but...

How about Camryn Grimes who portrayed (and sometimes still does) "Cassie" on "The Young & The Restless"?

LOL, if they can act a change in type casting would be a good thing. ;)

Camryn Grimes is also a Daytime Emmy winner, and she's had some featured guest roles on "ER" and "Medium".

Brent Barrett has arrived and we'll be spending the whole week together in Paris!

NO! I don't mean I got the cd!
I am talking about the REAL Brent.

Who needs a Xmas cd when one can get Santa himself?!  :D

(I know you're all singing the Green With Envy Blues!)  8) ;D
