Hello, everyone.

Yes, BK and I had a yummilicious lunch at Hamburger Hamlet. The food was VERY good. We split an order of his beloved nachos, in addition to our entrees. (WHAT?? He didn't mention the FOOD??) He'd complained earlier that the side of his mouth was so sore that he could hardly talk or eat. I was pleased to see that he had no trouble with either.  ;)

This could be a Johnny Mercer lyric!  :)

Watching the University of Cincinnati football game (against UConn).  ABC is showing off Cincinnati nicely and Brent Mussberger had some very nice things to say about Nippert Stadium.

Thank you, Ginny. Yes, he even let me get a few words in edgewise.  Oh, that must have been when his mouth was hurting.  :D

Try putting your television on a table or stand instead.          ;)

Back from a lovelier than lovely luncheon with dear reader Jeannie.  The food was fine, the conversation sparkled, and she had a really good thought as to what my problems are with the left side of the mouth.  She feels that my natural bite may have been thrown off by the placement of the new crown and that my mouth muscles are compensating and getting really sore - that makes total sense, so I'll call Dr. Chew and see if he can check it out and maybe file it down or re-position the crown.

That is a very good guess.  Sometimes it takes a few visits to get the sizing right, and more comfortable.

Or it could have been those Big Hunks. ;)

bk - Are you taking anything right now to relieve the pain? Tylenol, Advil, etc.? I guess as long as it just "aches" and doesn't "sting", you should be OK for now. Can you tell if you have any redness or swelling?

It's just kind of a dull ache - sometimes it doesn't even bother me, but sometimes it gives me a headache, especially if I'm trying to wrap my mouth around a sandwich at Jerry's.  There's no real stinging pain.  No redness, no swelling.  I didn't do the bite-size Big Hunks for at least four weeks after the crown was put in, and even then I chewed them on the other side of my mouth.

There was a very cute little crime book called EVERY LITTLE CROOK AND NANNY which my Aunt Betty gave to me as a kid.  I think it might have been made into a movie, and for some reason I'm thinking Richard Castellano was in it.

We did have to leave a key component off the nachos, the beef, as Jeannie didn't want the beef - but that effectively cut the fat grams and calories in half, so I was jiggy with it and I was also down with it.

BK - could your mouth pain be TMJ?  Worth considering...

Feel better vibes for sister and niece of DR JENNIFER.

And for DR ELMORE.  And of course for MR BK and his bicuspids.

DR JANE - Yogi is dolly!  What a cute doggie!

And of course Miss Margaret Whiting sang for Ms Susan Hayward in the film of VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, but she couldn't be used on the soundtrack LP because of contractual obligations, so the soundtrack features Ms Eileen Wilson singing "I'll Plant My Own Tree" - a song NOT written by Johnny Mercer.
