I've lately been pleased to note that Jane Seymour is back on the air with her Kay Jewelers commericals and her open heart pendant...along with her dearest wish that it become a universal symbol of peace and love.

LOL ;D

Michael S does not have the C word, nor does DR Jeanne.  DR Vixmom is cured!  Life is good.  May we all stay healthy!

DR Michael S, I hope whatever issues led to your concerns are improving.

The big package I was expecting didn't arrive - maybe domani.

I'm thinking this is a daily occurrence for several of our DRs....although in a different context, entirely.

Oh, yes!  Different entirely!

Tomorrow is Armistice Day.

Many folks in Toronto were wearing a single red poppy blossom on the lapel of their outdoor coats.

I forgot to mention that today is my brother Macbeth's birthday. He and his bitch white trash wife are in Florida for three weeks, I hear.  Three weeks with her must be the equivalent of 300 years in hell.

Apparently this is traditional because poppies grow in the field of Flanders.

In other news, the monstrosity next door is in "escrow."  I'll believe it when someone moves in - I simply don't believe it.  The same realtor has the same sign on another property down the street - that one has been in "escrow" for three months.  They either really lowered the price or their full of it or some idiot paid the price and will really pay the price if they ever decide to sell in the next three years.

When the head of the HTF, who is a Warners advocate, comes on and blames the studio for changing the MGM logo to a Warners logo on Logan's Run, you'd think before leveling that accusation, that he'd actually watch the Blu-Ray.  He must have read it somewhere, because I, astonished to think Warners had done such a thing, just popped in the disc.  Like all Warners Blu-Rays it begins with the Warner Home Video logo, which then fades out - it is NOT part of the film transfer.  Then the movie proper starts with - wait for it - the MGM logo its always had.  Amazing.

Hello, everyone.

I was listening to the new BB Christmas CD today. What a delight! Larry, I REALLY liked the orchestrations. A real winner overall.

No...it was just received into our building (the Service Center) for processing last week.  It's not ready for circulating, yet.

Thank you, DR Jeanne! I'm still a bit rankled by Brent's thank you to me in the notes for my "additional orchestrations" since he was at every meeting with me and Chris during which I set the orchestration for each and every number except for "White Christmas," which was for piano only, on what I heard in Chris' wonderful arrangements.

I had a very nice time hosting my book discussion group today.  The orange sour cream cake in the rose pan looked beautiful & was rather tasty too.  It was a BIG hit.  For the most part HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET was well liked.  It is a sweet story.  Re-reading it & preparing to discuss the book I realized it is an usually simple choice for me.  On the whole I've chosen some rather heavy books that require a good amount of preparation to lead the discussion.  I must admit this was a nice change.  I'm glad the book was, very much, enjoyed by most.

DR EDISAURUS did you mean Thelma Todd?  I don't know Mabel Todd.

DR JMK - what a socko set of movies!  "The Farmer's Other Daughter" aka "She Was a Haystack Hooker" - disintegrating bathing suits at the 4th of July beauty pageant - AND the militia.  What else could you want in a movie?  And it's in color!

Perhaps dear reader MattH could drop Mr. Harris a PM on the HTF site (I'm banned from there for having opinions) - and ask him to e-mail me at haineshisway at gmail dot com.  Much appreciated.
