Oy! I've been coping this afternoon with a FINIAN'S RAINBOW music problem not caused - thank God! - by me. The cause of the problem is trying to drag me into it and I needed the advice of several people on the production.

Then, my attempt to buy Finale 2010 was thwarted because I mistakenly bought on Amazon the "educational" version, same program software but selling at about $200 less than the "professional" version which to me is total bullshit. Since i have no "educational" verifiers, I had to cancel the order. The supplier was willing to sell the me other edition for an additional $180 but I think I can do better in Manhattan or on another site like eBay or some music vendors.

DR elmore - Buy it at the Juilliard Bookstore.

FINIAN'S RAINBOW is down 6% from last week and that's sad. I was hoping with the reviews we would keep climbing.

...And Shrek dropped 20.6%.  -So much for that "catch it before it closes" rush. :-\

I had an interesting phone conversation with the conductor of the Men's Chorus about ONE LIFE TO LIVE and Kyle and Fish. Then I made some tuna salad, and now I have some editing to do.

Oh! That's Kyle & Fish! I may have to start watching OLTL now. ::)

I did skim through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Kyle and Fish were not on today but hopefully they will be tomorrow.

I had a really good day today.  Nothing in particular happened to make it good, it just was.  I was able to focus at work and not feel too stressed.  Tomorrow looks like another good day. Hope everyone else has one too

And now I must head down to bed. I have my semi-annual teeth check-up and cleaning tomorrow VERY early, so I need to get to bed.

Good night!

Oh...

Today's batch of auditions were a lot of fun.  And in true Disney "fashion", I was booked for five hours, but only ended up playing for two and a half. :)

*And, yes, we saw and heard the full spectrum of talent today: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and The Clueless. Totally Clueless.  ::)

Btw, if anyone happens to know a young actress who sings - soprano preferred - as well as speaks Cantonese, please have them contact Disney Talent Casting. ;)

Wouldn't Jiulliard be selling the "Academic" version?

I caught the second half of tonight's show, and, yes, it looks like there's going to be a heartbreaker for someone tomorrow.

The product is the same.  It's just a matter of the pricing.  The Juilliard Bookstore only sells it at the Academic/Educational price.

I'm watching THE CLOSER reruns. I just saw the one episode I missed this past season so I'm quite happy.

Something about that last scene made me a little weepy.

Roger Corman should have received his Honorary Oscar at that party, too.

Maybe some Allison clips were flashed on the screen.  Too bad this won't be part of official Oscar telecast next year.  Too busy having "stars" read bad jokes and singing dumb songs, and unfunny comedians giving monotonous monologs.

Just give out the damned awards and shut up!  We don't care!

And here is the coverage from The New York Times about the festivities this past weekend in Hollywood:

Hollywood Dinner Has Oscars on Menu

I'm still at work!  WHY??  "Heroes" is starting!  Unless something went horribly wrong, my DVR is set to record it, so I won't miss it. :)

Until later!

I would have to prove to Finale when I registered it that I was a student. The whole thing is ridiculous.

You're talking about the wedding, right? The episode I missed was the trucker/nnja killer.

Happy birthday, Skip!

We were gone most of the day on a trip to nowhere in particular.

I've been to nowhere in particular - it's lovely this time of year.

I think I'm through with viewing for this evening.  Perhaps I'll type up my notes for the long musical.  Yes, why not?  I'll play some CDs.
