I'm up - had a nice night's sleep with very peculiar dreams - not bad, just peculiar.

Good Afternoon!

And now that the second load of clothes are in the dryer, I believe it's time to get out of the apartment for a bit.

The sun is out - looks a little windy.  I'll step outside in a few minutes and see how chilly it is - I'd like to jog today.

Back from a two-mile jog to find NO POSTS since before I left?  I'm afraid that will NOT do, oh, no, that will NOT do.

A little excitement in TCB's hood:

4 POLICE OFFICERS SHOT DEAD NEAR WASHINGTON STATE AIR FORCE BASE

Quote
SEATTLE —  Four police officers were shot dead in an ambush at a Washington state coffee house, a sheriff's official said Sunday.
The attack occurred east of McChord Air Force Base in Parkland, Wash.

Authorities said two suspects entered Forza Coffee Co. and opened fire on the four police officers who were sitting inside, Fox affiliate q13fox.com reported.

Police are now searching for the two suspects, one white male and one black male, q13Fox.com reported.

The officers were going over paper work before starting their day shift when they were killed, q13fox.com reported.

"It was just a flat out ambush," Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash.

Investigators believe the officers were targeted, and it was not a robbery, Troyer said.

The notes posed:How many of you have a leopard-spotted dickie or any dickie?

I have two tutleneck dickies - one forest green, the other gold.

der Brucer

They are intended to be worn under wild silk print shirts and are often accompanied by double-knit bell bottoms.

Is he working the bus stop again?

No, he is standing outside the Elliott Bay Book Co. selling copies of the "Real Change" newspaper in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Working the bus stop is his evening job

Here are the lovely Broadway World articles on the two-parter A LITTLE SITE MUSIC, or EVERY DAY A LITTLE NET.

http://www.broadwayworld.com/article/STAGE_TUBE_A_Little_Site_Music_Act_Two_20000101

And this from Frank Rizzo, theatre critic for the Hartford Courant:

http://blogs.courant.com/curtain/2009/11/thumbs-up-on-youtube-spoof-on.html

And this one's a blog I'd never seen before, but it's very very nice:

http://www.lemonwade.com/2009/11/25/a-little-site-music-brilliant/

As Jose may have heard if he's spoken with his friend Jim whose firm did the videos, sometimes comedy is (a) very hard; and (b) all about timing.  Jim's firm BTW got a really nice mention in the two Broadway World articles

Bravo to Fred!  Bravo to Jan!  Bravo to Jim and his firm!

Have you notepaper sturdy enough to withstand the poison pen?

Woody's contribution to today's cultural ambiance was remarking on the song playing on the radio on his drive home:

She said I’m going out with my girlfriends
Margaritas at the Holiday Inn
Lord have mercy, my only thought
Was Tequila makes her clothes fall off

Now if rhyming "thought" with "fall off" makes you cringe, wait till you hear the "tablecloth" - "clothes fall off" rhyme!

I did have a few more bonus features to watch on LOST. There was an interesting day with Nestor Carbonell who plays Richard Alpert on the show. It was the last day of shooting, and since Richard plays parts in both the 1977 and 2007 sequences of the last episode, he had to be there from before 7 a.m. in the morning until the production wrapped at 2:20 a.m. the next morning. He did look exhausted by the end but everyone seemed thrilled to have another season finished and looking forward to the last one.

I had weird dreams last night, too. I dreamed I was in college trying to find out what the required books were for the classes I was taking, but not being able to buy them because I had no credit card. It was a MISERABLY unhappy dream; the idea of showing up to class on the first day and not being prepared is what I call a terrible nightmare.

Back to LOST bonus features. Like the other sets, there is a succession of behind-the-scenes featurettes on various stunts for half a dozen or so of the episodes. Always interesting to see this.

The one item I couldn't explore was LOST University which, as I suspected, does not go on-line util street date - December 8th. So, all I have are the publicity releases describing what it is, but there's no way I can test functionality or content until well after the review goes up later tonight.

When I finished my LOST work, I continued with MIDNIGHT LACE whch I had started watching the middle of last week. Always a good little thriller, no matter how many times I've seen it.

Next, I watched another episode of SUPERNATURAL from the fourth season Blu-ray set. This was the one about a siren working wiles on unsuspecting townsfolk causing them to kill their nearest and dearest. Naturally the siren comes after Dean and Sam. A very good episode.
