We could abolish the IRS and substitute a flat tax.

(Maybe good for voters, but bad for tax-persons.)

I guess I need to hop off-line and get some writing done. Then, I must head downstairs and continue watching the bonus features on the work project disc of the day.

There you go thinking about yourself, Jrand.

Repairs are complete.  It was the best case scenario, thank heavens.  To add to the surreality of it all, with two plumbers here fixing things, my front doorbell rings and KGW Channel 8 is standing there with a news reporter and film crew asking if they can IV me for this evening's news vis a vis Nancy's murder.  Then my realtor called and said the bank has returned the contract and is unwilling to pay for any lender required repairs on La Manse, so this may be a dead end, deal wise.

Ooh, which reporter JMK? There was a time when having a KGW reporter appear at my door was a fantasy of mine.

Back from a trip to Target, where I bought something I've never bought before - a 6-pack of canned Iams dog food.  The grantwriters group that meets tomorrow decided, instead of a gift exchange, to donate to a couple of nonprofit agencies.  One is an animal rescue organization, thus the dog food.  The other organization puts together gifts for needy kids, so I bought some art stuff.

After the things you've dropped on this site, this was nothing.

My health insurance has apologized for the $267.00 bill and I am off the hook. I like that.

DR Julie - If the airport gift shop happens to sell those Key Lime Coconut Patties... ;)

Enjoy the rest of your time in Florida.  -Hope you have a nice warm coat for when you get off the plane on Wednesday. The winter temps are supposed to start to settle in tomorrow.

While they were here, we took them to spend the day at Hollywood Beach.  They have a fairly new and lengthy Boardwalk there.  We walked a long stretch of it, and then stopped at an outdoor cafe to eat some delicious pizza, and watch the people stroll by.
