The idiots who are in charge of the Lincoln Center NYPL have completely screwed up the research area; they've moved the card catalogues for the Theatre Collection to the 2nd floor, but the catalogues are not close to tables so you have to cart the drawers some distance to use them and then cart them back and take the filled-out card slips to a librarian before you can then take the completed slip via elevator to the third floor to get your request filled. The Music Collection catalogues are still on the third floor so you have to get the information there and then take your filled-out call slip to the 2nd floor to be approved before you can take it back to the third floor to be delivered to you.
Now, of you get the wrong materials, you have to leave the third floor, go back to the second and check the card catalogues again, fill out new call slips, see the librarian and return to the third floor. What asshole thinks this is remotely efficient? Why is it they get a workable system and some idiot in charge who neither uses the collection or clearly knows anything about how the system works efficiently is allowed to screw it up?
Yep! Kyle and Fish are on today.
