Well, you've read the notes, the notes were cracked, and now it is time for you to post until the cracked cows come home - they're currently eating some cracked crab whilst cracking wise.

I can crack my knuckles and my ankles, knees, hips, back, neck, toes and fingers.  When I was in high school, I counted and at one point, I could crack 56 joints...or at least make 56 cracking noises.  I stopped doing all that cracking on a regular basis shortly after that, but I still have certain joints that I crack regularly.  I don't think that it'll ever end.  And it does feel real good. :D

The first thing I do upon waking in the morning is to flex/rotate my ankles and feet.  It produces all kinds of satisfying cracking and crackling in the ankles and in all the little bones of my feet!

Growing up, I used to crack my knuckles and especially my neck all the time; it would drive my mother to distraction!  She insisted that one day my head was simply going to snap off.     :)

I have read conflicting reports over the years as to whether cracking your joints can do any kind of long term damage or cause complications later on in life.  In the end, I decided that the consensus was that it was not a problem, so I continue to do it.

Morning all.

I'm eating my oatmeal and at 7am I will watch Arthur.

I won't be listening to much today since I'll be at Equity loading in the goods for the Bag Packing. When I come home I will be tired and I know I won't be able to make it through a DVD so I'll just have dinner and relax.

To you Arizona HHW'ers.  I just learned that my dear friend Sabian Trout is the Artistic Director of Live Theatre Workshop in Tucson.  If you are ever over that way - say hi!  They are doing A TUNA CHRISTMAS right now!

Nothing new.

 :'(

I'll just have to pull a DVD ot two out of my library of 3000-4000 titles.

I hope I can find something.

Or, maybe I'll finish reading BK's book, REWIND.  It's very good.

Another cracker here.  I love how it feels.  I picked it up from my father when I was a youngen and still do it.  Knuckles, wrists, shoulders, neck, back, lower back, hips, ankle and toes (my knees pop, but that's another story.)  Sometimes, if I have tension built up in my scalp, I can grab handfuls of hair and, by slightly pulling this way and that, produce sound.

I also heard the pro and con stories about joint cracking and like DR Daw, choose to ignore the cons.  But years ago, during a visit to the Omega Institute, a woman who was a massage therapist saw me cracking my neck and pointed out to me that I was doing it a bit too intensely.  I have since tried to not do it as often and to be much more gentle in all my self-cracking practices.

My ankles love to crack during Pilates or a ballroom class when the instructor keeps after us to do the steps properly. The nerve of some people!

On the topic in the column of Italian movies that never got released over here, has anybody ever seen "Voce della Luna" or whatever Fellini's last movie was? It had Roberto ("Life Is Beautiful") Benigni in it, but I don't think it ever made it to these shores.

No, I've never seen it, but if it has Roberto Benigni in it, that would likely keep me away from it unless I had to review it or something. He is my LEAST favorite world-acclaimed actor. A little of him goes a very long way for me.

Good morning!

We've begun the first day of a week of very cold weather. Really not supposed to warm up until next Friday. Friday is my walk-free day, so I did some cleaning and decorating this morning in place of the walk.

I used to be a big knuckle and neck cracker, but I don't do that so much any more. Occasionally I have to crack toes to keep them from feeling stiff. I am still doing some of the physical therapy stretching exercises I was given this summer when I was going through my health crisis, and one of them always cracks my neck each morning. I assume it's OK since I was TOLD to do this.

Yep, it looks like another day off for me. I am going to get spoiled with these days off. When some work discs come in, it's going to be hard getting back to a work routine.

Also new tonight on TV:

The series finale of MONK. I think many of us think it's long overdue.

WHITE COLLAR has its seasonal finale tonight as well.
