Another cracker here. I love how it feels. I picked it up from my father when I was a youngen and still do it. Knuckles, wrists, shoulders, neck, back, lower back, hips, ankle and toes (my knees pop, but that's another story.) Sometimes, if I have tension built up in my scalp, I can grab handfuls of hair and, by slightly pulling this way and that, produce sound.
I also heard the pro and con stories about joint cracking and like DR Daw, choose to ignore the cons. But years ago, during a visit to the Omega Institute, a woman who was a massage therapist saw me cracking my neck and pointed out to me that I was doing it a bit too intensely. I have since tried to not do it as often and to be much more gentle in all my self-cracking practices.
