Good Evening!

Greetings from the new UWS Apple Store!

It really is big. And roomy. And not as crazy and hectic as the 5th Avenue location. Yet.

DR divarobbie - is there a projected completion date for your album?

Somewhere between 33 and death... (I'm still putting all the money together for it. THAT'S a joy.)

And, yes, I did end up back at The Palace this afternoon for the Gypsy of the Year presentation...

-Bernadette Peters made an appearance.
-Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig made an appearance.
-And A Steady Rain raised a truly record-breaking $1.5+ MILLION for BC/EFA!!! -And they did it only 48 performances!!!

And I was thinking/planning of going to the New York Philharmonic tonight, but then I got a call from a friend who had an extra ticket to Dreamgirls tonight, so... I'll be heading to Apollo in a couple of minutes!!

Oh...

When I headed to the subterranean level here at the Apple Store, I bumped into James Lapine.  -I don't think he remembers who I am/was, but I'll never forget the story that he and Mr. Sondheim told about the creation of Sunday when they came to rehearsals for the production at Arena back in 1997. ;D

We're back up in the grosses for last week. FINIAN'S RAINBOW played at 65% capacity after doing 53% the week before. This is good news.

That's really good news, especially when you look at some of the shows that had a drop in business - and average ticket price - last week.

I made it pretty! Honestly, the most artistically satisfying project I've ever done.  I hope you like it.

Thanks DR Jose.  I'm home and not going anywhere.  They've upped the predictions to 10.5 inches of snow and 35-50 mph winds all night.  I already called Edith and told her not to bother going in tomorrow morning. Even the federal building is closed until noon and they NEVER close.

My mother, on the other hand, was out all afternoon playing bridge and drinking wine.  Good grief, she's always paranoid about the weather, but she couldn't miss bridge.   She made it home, much to my relief.  So, I think everyone is accounted for

TOD:  I think I saw a link to HHW on allthatchat and realized that Bruce was the producer of Brent's two CDs and almost all the other ones he appears on.

Thanks, DR elmore for your report on the Finian's recording!  I can't wait for the CD to come out!

I'm going to be in NYC this weekend to see Brent B at Birdland and am thinking of seeing Finian's again.  I think it's one of my favorite shows now.

I've been on the phone with the Kritzerland web host trying to figure out what the HELL is going on.  After getting nowhere other than "they're working on it" and no ETA or even what the problem is, I asked for a supervisor - I'm on hold now while he tries to find out what's going on.  They say would could migrate to a different set of servers until the problem is fixed but that means the site could be down for 24 to 72 hours and obviously we're not doing that.
