Good morning!

It was bitterly cold this morning (lucky that Fridays are my rest day from walking and exercising), but I'll be going out into the cold later today. Should warm up into the 40s by afternoon, but it was 22 this morning.

Today I will come to the end of the marathon Mel Brooks movie mash I've been experiencing these last four days. Seeing all of these films back-to-back make it so clear how much he enjoyed working with the same people over and over. Once you break into his circle of comic cronies, he uses you somewhere in everything.

There is a new UGLY BETTY and a new LAW & ORDER tonight.

Two new episodes of DOLLHOUSE run back-to-back as Fox burns off the remaining episodes.

CBS has a new animated special at 8 (YES, VIRGINIA), but the rest of their Friday schedule is comprised of reruns. MEDIUM's is the season premiere episode.

Hopefully today will see the delivery of some of the Amazon packages I'm expecting. I know the mail service is slammed at this time of year, but the buyer wants what he wants!

I'm heading downstairs to get cleaned up for running my errands a little bit later. Then, it's back to fix some lunch and settle in for last night's THE MENTALIST and this afternoon's work project: TO BE OR NOT TO BE.

Happy B-day to Ginny!

BK, I can't believe that you and I never did the Roscoe's Chicken and Waffle experience together, given all our other dining experiences from Musso and Frank, The Smokehouse, Bird's, Langer's, The House of Pies, Schwab's...How did we miss this one?  Despite it's proximity to where I lived, I only actually went a few times, but every time I went, it was dee-licious!

So...

I've been reading up on the causes and symptoms of kidney stones and kidney infections, and it was quite interesting to read that depending on the type of infection you have, the dietary guidelines are basically at polar opposites.

Anyhoo...

Ohhh... Roscoe's Chicken And Waffles!!!  I never made it to the one on Gower when I was out there, but I did make it to the one on Pico.  YUMMERS!!!

*Gladys Knight - yes, that Gladys Knight - makes some great Chicken and Waffles too, and if you're ever in the Land of DR edisaurus - a.k.a. Atlanta, GA - you can stop by Gladys Knight & Ron Winans' Chicken & Waffles for some good eatin'!

Just launched this morning:  THIS site, where you can buy sheet music from some of our up-and-coming musical theatre writers.

Yeah!... Well...

Sadly(?), most of the songs on that site are already on the "I'm sick of hearing those songs massacred at auditions" List.

:-\

*But isn't Andrew Keenan-Bolger just cute as a button? ::)

As for the Topic of the Day...

I had actually set aside some CDs to listen to this week, but they never made it into my CD player.

Last week, bk asked what movies we were looking forward to.  I hadn't heard about A Single Man, opening today, but after reading the NY Times review, I'd be interested in seeing this.

It's also been quite interesting watching some of the recent interviews with Tom Ford.  You can - well, I can really tell that the whole directing experience has changed him. He's so calm now, and not so in-your-face.  However, he's still very handsome (and smolderingly hot). ;)
