I'm watching something called The Monster Squad.  I'm sure that the generation who was reared in the 80s love this film.  I'm trying but it's not working - not yet anyway.

DR JEANNE thanks for your confirmation of my plans.....it has been almost 12 hours and I am still waiting for the first $5000 to be deposited in my account.  Perhaps the weather is causing some delay....................

thanks cilla.  please let us know when samantha has safely arrived.  will she be spending the night?  i'm glad susan & her children are home.

Samantha was just coming from my brothers house about a mile away. She was late because she had to scrape the ice off of her car.  I'm sure she didn't have a problem getting back there, it get a lot worse after she left

I am happy to hear you say that, BK.  I read about THE MONSTER SQUAD in Rue Morgue Magazine and promptly bought the dvd.  One week later, I traded it in. . .I made it the whole way through, but, didn't think it held a candle to ABBOT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. . .or any number of horror-comedy hybrids.

Our neighbors just dropped in with their Christmas gift.  Dixie Bell has a new squeaky football, which she is not letting go of.

May I put in on the record again, I really like the new position at work and love being on the floor with the customers.
What I don't like is the amount of strangers who feel that they can invade my personal space and hug me once I've found what they were looking for. . .:(

I love THE MONSTER SQUAD! It's such a sweet horror film. That's wonderful shot of the kids walking with the Frankenstein Monster is quite beautiful.

My copy of Dennis Potter's great DREAMCHILD arrived today. If you do not know this amazing film about the trip to New York in the 1930s made by Alice Liddell who inspired ALICE IN WONDERLAND, Netflix it at once!
