The last thing I'll say about the roads, the snow in the ditches is even with the road, so you can't tell where the road ends and the ditches begin. It wasn't so bad during the day, but at night!

In town, they are not promising to make the residential streets passable until Monday! Good thing there were some private guys with blades to clear a path or I may not be home

You should! It's actually a "Low Occupancy" rate time of year for them, and you can usually get a nicely discounted rate on one of their truly wonderful rooms. OH! And the chef at their main restaurant specializes in vegetarian cuisine!

Well... I was thinking of heading out somewhere for dinner, but I'm not really hungry. I was also thinking of seeing a movie tonight, but there's nothing I really want to see.

*Is it my imagination, or was there no real "end of the year Oscar-worthy" push of films this year? I mean, "It's Complicated" is the "must-see" holiday movie this year? Really?!?!?! Or did "Avatar" scare off some of the possible competition? Or is another "victim" of the economy?

Richmond is 90-120 minutes away from DC. It's about 95 miles from the D.C. Beltway. So, depending on traffic... There's actually some pretty decent vegetarian dining available in Richmond. It's all those "art majors" at VCU.

*And now that the smoking ban is in place, you can now eat meat-free and smoke-free at the same time in Richmond.
