Well, no one can say we didn't get to page eleven, and if we have a lovelier than lovely Rockin' New Year's Eve partay, we might even double that.

I have never tried General Tso's Shrimp. General Tso's chicken is my favorite. So that sounds very interesting.

I had to Google the apparently offensive reference to figure out what they were talking about, but I confess I still don't understand the offense, but then again I've obviously never seen that film and I don't think I want to, LOL.  Be that as it may, Happy New Year one and all and also all and one.

When you buy some ham
And the ham is canned
It's funny, you don't kvell or sing
It's a Jewish thing
When you hold some shrimp
In your trembling hand
Is there guilt for what the waiter's bringing
But it's a Jewish thing

DR Elmore - here's a local news story that may interest you and some other DRs:

I think the people who audition at Putnam County Playhouse takes lessons from her.

I SENT AN EMAIL TO MY BROTHER WITH AN UPDATE FROM THE SURGEON & INCLUDED THE PHOTO OF THE X-RAY.  I FORGOT TO MENTION IT WAS NOT MY X-RAY, JUST A SIMILAR ONE OFF THE INTERNET.  MY BROTHER, THE SURGEON, ASKED WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TWO BREAKS HE EXPECTED TO SEE ;D

SINCE I SENT THE SAME EMAIL TO THE MEDICAL STUDENT, I IMMEDIATELY SENT BRYAN A CORRECTION.

As DR PENNY O, the yacht girl, mentioned - tonight is a blue moon.  The second full moon this month.  I am going out in a moment to see if I can get a nice clear foto.

We have been watching The Judy Garland Show in order over the past few weeks.  I think we are up to show #8 or 9.

Do you have the entire series? We have been trying to gather them together through various libraries but since they are out of print the entire collection is not easy to get. We have Volume from the Infinity re-release, which is different from the original Pioneer Arts release. It contains Count Basie and Liza Minnelli instead of Mickey Rooney and Liza Minnelli. We don't have Volume 2, which has the Lena Horne show. We have Volume 3 (the Christmas show) and Volumes 4-8 (Volume 6 is listed as the "Legends" show with clips instead of entire episodes). We don't have anything after that. The annoying thing about the initial release, IMHO, is they didn't release the "Volumes" in show order. They released them in the order in which they would sell best, I guess, so you can't get Volumes and get Show Order (except for the initial Pioneer Arts release which has the Mickey Rooney show which was Show Number 1 but they didn't use it as the first broadcast program). My head hurts! I just want all the Judy shows on DVD. I've seen them on Amazon (I believe) for a LOT of money (of course, they are out of print) but as much as I want them I'm not going to pay those prices. I look at Academy when I go but they rarely turn up.

We will be leaving for dinner soon. We are going to one of our favorite Chelsea locations, Lasagne, for an early NYE dinner and then a movie when we return home. We just don't know which movie yet.

I have the entire series bought in bits and pieces and some double dipping once the box came out with several episodes in it that had already been issued on single DVDs (two episodes per disc there).

I didn't care what it cost; I was going to have the entire series, and I've watched them all quite a few times. Growing up when it was on, my father HATED the adult Judy Garland, so the only way I could ever see the show was if we could get him to go to bed at 9 p.m. on Sunday night and not insist on seeing BONANZA. Some weeks it worked, and some weeks it didn't, so I never got to see the entire show in its original run. (I saw probably half of them.)

I watched BORN LOSERS while listening to the commentary of Tom Laughlin, Delores Taylor (Mrs. Laughlin), and son Frank.

The commentary was almost as creepy as the movie.  I skipped BILLY JACK, since I had seen that at the movies.....and moved on to the nearly 3 hour motion picture THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK.

It will take me some time to recover.....Ms. Taylor's mealy mouthed stringy-haired portrayal of a bleeding heart liberal kept me from the last two BILLY JACK movies in the theaters....and boy.....she didn't get NO better.

I am looking forward in a few minutes to BILLY JACK GOES TO WASHINGTON.....

I bought the Judy Garland Show set as well......even though it took some weeks for Amazon to deliver it, and the box was broken when it arrived....like DR MATTH I already had a few of the episodes, but it was nice to have them all.....even out of order.

Does anyone know anything about moving pages and creating tabs on a drop down menu for a website.

It's a long story.

Things I learned from THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK:

If you need money to build your own low power television station, you can raise it by having a USA wide marching band competition - the bands will come at their own expense, and you keep the gate!

If you are a member of the National Guard and are ordered to fire into the crowd of rioting peaceniks - and you do so without looking - you will kill a small boy with a hook hand who just learned to play the guitar and is holding a rabbit.

If you do not want the governor of your state to call out the troops, stop doing exposes on the conditions of state run hospitals and orphanages.

You inner spirit looks just like you except he wears Native American clothes and blue greasepaint from head to toe.

I spent much of the evening watching documentaries. I began with that tribute to 1939 that's one of the bonus features in the GONE WITH THE WIND set. I saw it when it was originally broadcast on TCM, but it was nice to see again. There were so many great films that they only scratched the surface really in that special.

There was another GWTW documentary on the set that featured Ann Rutherford, Ted Turner, Rudy Belhmer I had never watched before either, so I watched it, too.
