One of the many huge bonus rooms in the "first" level of the basement (this has a weird layout where there are three successively "deeper" levels of the basement).  Pool table included, LOL.

And finally, the steam room.  Does anyone still have a steam room?

Where would you put the piano?

Funny you should ask that.  It was the topic of great discussion betwixt and between Betsy and myself today.  For as huge as the house is (I think it's over 5000 sf), the living room is surprisingly small, and I just feel weird about putting it out in the family room next to the kitchen for some reason.  I'm thinking it would probably have to go in one of the many basement rooms.

I will probably watch two new episodes of The Middle tonight, followed by Modern Family and Cougar Town - but then I want to switch to TCM to see Rasputin and the Empress with the Barrymores.

Did you notice that they had put candles in the fireplace?  I had never seen that before.  They actually had a "specialty" grate with candle holders.  I had never seen that before either, LOL.

That's the all the rage now.  Especially in areas where we have the "Spare the Air" day and you can't light a fire (in which they encourage your neighbors to rat you out if they catch you using your fireplace or burning something in your yard) Only in CA??

Finished about seven pages so far - that's probably enough, but if I stick to the pattern I've been following, I may do another couple later this evening.  Again, not sure just how much detail to go into - I don't want it to seem boring, but I'm writing about my first job and I think it's pretty interesting, so I don't want to skimp either - other jobs I won't go nearly into this kind of detail, but so many things were a learning experience on this first show that I feel I need to spend time on it.

We don't have a spare the air day, but I have a friend who fills her fireplace with candles, it's quite lovely.  I really should do that, I never use my fireplace.

I've thought about putting in a gas insert, but candles would be much cheaper :)

Who was it that said they want some snow?   This is at the mall here, and no, there is no hill under that pile of snow

This is from some site which has a link to my Farmer article:

Engem a transzorbitális lobotómia bemutatása - pontosabban a beavatkozás kínzóeszközeinek felvonultatása - felettébb sokkolt.

Íme, egy indormatív oldal a szerencsétlen sorsú Frances-ről:

I'm sure you all feel similarly.

And that photo was before the 6 inches of snow we're getting today.  this is just like winter used to be 30 years ago.  It's a pain in the butt, but kind of fun

Greetings from Atlanta! Thank you for all the travel vibes...it was a great flight, not even half full do I had a whole row to myself. The only bad thing was that when I decided to take advantage of this and slid over to the window, I grabbed the armrest and sliced open my finger. There was a sharp pointed piece of metal poking out. I reported it to the flight attendant so it could be fixed before the next passenger sat there, and she realized that someone had broken off one of those dual prong adaptors for the headphones and the pointy prongs were left in the armrest. Fortunately she had bandaids.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, I'm glad to be home with Greg and the kitties, even if it is colder than NY!

DR Edi, maybe you should make a slight stink about this to the airline management.  I think some kind of compensation might be in order...

They asked if I wanted to report it but I felt that it would be fine.

Today I wrestled a cat into a carrier with much more bloodshed...he left a big gash in my cheek and I led all over the carrier, my clothes, the cat. (He's very strong even when he's sick!) I'm thinking about suing him. I'm sure I'll have a scar...it was still bleeding when I got home.

i've seen that, more often when the fireplace no longer works,  this house doesn't look old enough to have a problem with the fireplace, which means it should be nice & clean if they didn't use it ;)
