Did anyone feel the earthquake off of Eureka, CA?

Perhaps that is why Jose felt dizzy earlier!

No, that wouldn't be the reason.

Once I got my work project out of way, I continue with ROME. I finished the first episode of the series (where the gorgeous Kevin McKidd and Ray Stevenson rescue Caesar's stolen eagle statuary). I went back and turned on the pop-up facts and rewatched some of it with the pop-ups turned on.

You know I didn't see one person wearing a toga when I was in Rome.  However, I did see two men in kilts at Safeway.

There was a Safeway in Rome?

JMK, having been to your lovely home, which is quite large, I have to finally ask the question what is this obsession with moving to so much larger quarters?

Could it be for the same reasons as guys buying HUGE speakers....or driving really expensive cars?

Back from a nice home-cooked meal of a lamb chop (I have not had lamb or a lamb chop since I was eight), mashed potatoes, and salad.  And now I shall try to write a few more pages.

Good Evening!

After a somewhat unbalanced start to my day - literally - I ended up having quite a nice finish to my day.

And, thankfully, I believe the vertigo has passed.

Whew!

DR elmore - Just curious... Once you leave this project - and I think I know which one it is - who else would take your place? Who else could?

DR Cillaliz - I had dinner tonight at Red Cat.  -And, yes, I had the Tempura Bacon for my appetizer.  -And it really was one of the best things I've ever ate. ;)

We woke up to find that we had no cold water in our master bathroom this morning.

Hopefully, once the temperature rises, it will thaw out...without any major damage.

 >:(

~~~No Water Damage for DR Druxy!!~~~
Everything appears to be back to normal.  Faucets are running.  There appears to be no permanent damage.  [Fingers crossed.]
I liked DR JOSE's punchline.
And here's the set up - courtesy of @BettyDraper:
Finally here after a LONG day.  6 hours of Rent auditions - without a Roger in sight, unfortunately, maybe tomorrow.  Played at church this eve and came home and made the DP dinner.  He bought some chicken breast that he was going to roast in the oven, I told him to stay on the couch (again) and I took over...
This was a LOT of fun - potato chip crusted bone-in chicken breasts, angel hair pasta-roni, sauted carrots. This doesn't sound exciting - but I made up the chicken thing, and I actually had to brown some onions in a pan to cook the carrots - I'm not a fan of the onion, but the carrots were ...fabulous and it may be the first time I cooked with an onion. This is HUGE NEWS!!!! .  We started with a Campari cocktail and were going to finish with some gingerbread chocolate I got (from HIM) for Christmas, but he seems to be snoring up a storm.
All is well....
I know a couple of people who auditioned, and I don't think any of them have heard anything either way from the production company.  ???
Well...
Since I'm attending tomorrow morning's (today's) "Coffee Concert" with Sasha Cooke & Ken Noda, I really should get ready for bed now.
Goodnight.
Oh Joy, the furnace went out.   I went outside and found the air intake was blocked, so i cleared it and it still won't start. I called the emergency 24-7 hotline about 1/2 hour ago and the guy on call will be over soon.  He had another call that just came in right before me so he thought it would be at least an hour. It's still in the 60s in here, last I looked, but it's below zero out, so there's no way I'm going without heat.  I don't have a service contract with them, but Edith's husband works there and the guy on call tonight has been to my house before.  I'm glad he knows me
He said he'd call before he comes over so I can go ahead and doze off, but I may as well stay up at this point
