I had my final baby tooth pulled today.  I am now feeling very old.

?

I have had one baby tooth left in my mouth since I was a baby.  No adult tooth ever came in below it, so the dentists always said to just leave it unless it caused me problems.  I never had any problem until just before I left on the cruise.  The dentist wanted to pull it then, but since it was a lower front tooth, I figured I would rather not look anymore like a hillbilly than I already did.

This weekend, it started bothering me again.  So, reluctantly, I called my dentist this morning and this afternoon it was pulled.

I have finally had some uninterrupted writing time today and have done eight or so pages - I'm having way too much fun in the current section I'm in, which has to do with Merv Griffin.

Did he want you to be his houseboy?

So, why didn't I interview you when I wrote Merv's biography?

THIS LINK COMES WITH MAJOR NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK WARNINGS - THE VIDEO IS SUITABLE, BUT THE CONTENT IS NOT.

Hysterically filthy parody of "Save the Best for Last," in honor of Vanessa Williams being about to appear on Broadway.

It's really crass, despicable, and (I thought) hysterical.  I don't know how the lovely singer kisses her family with that mouth after singing this parody.  :)

Or maybe it's already been linked here, in which case, never mind!

It is a bit much.

I've given notes on the last of the rewritten scenes and he agreed to some pretty radical cuts and redoing of things.

One of my best friends from high school and college has been back in the area for the last several weeks visiting his father.  Saturday, since the weather was nice, he wanted to see my banner hanging on the side of the hospital.

So...............................

I'm really quite tired having only gotten under five hours of sleep.  I think I'll watch a motion picture on Blu and Ray and then after that I might write another page or two.

Bruce, sorry about your hand. I'm no doctor, but if that gets worse in the next couple of days you should see one.

I heard the sound clips for It's a Mad (4) World, and while it's great music, it's not my kind of music, unfortunately. That said, I decided to listen to clips from other Krtizerland releases over the past hour or two, and I might inquire into getting two or three more in a few days (if Bruce still has copies, that is).

My Kritzerland order for Empire of the Ants and Rhapsody of Steel arrived today as well. EOTA came with an additional autographed booklet signed by Dana Kaproff, although to me it just looks like a couple of black marker squiggles. Haven't cracked the seal open on either disc yet.

SHAMELESS SHILLING AND BEGGING IN THIS POST

If anyone has time to contribute to the all-important "times-viewed," I put the audio of three non-parody numbers from the show I'm working on on YouTube.  So you don't actually have to watch, it's like radio -  just put each one on in the background and leave them on to the end of each one, and it'll count as a view :)   Positive comments are as always appreciated.

I have watched a total of 13 episodes of THE SIMPSONS today. Some really are hysterically funny, and some are duds. There was some great satire on the Apple empire, and the episode about standardized testing in schools was superb.

Oh, that's so sad. She was such a marvelous person. If you have never seen it, rent ANNE FRANK REMEMBERED. She is on camera quite a bit since she played such a role in the family's story. It's a brilliant, Oscar-winning documentary.

I couldn't believe that in this monumental 20th season box set of SIMPSON episodes, the ONLY bonus feature is a 3 1/2-minute preview of that Morgan Spurlock special that aired last night celebrating 20 years of the show. No commentaries, no interviews with the award-winning voice cast, the creator, NOTHING else.

Anyway, since it was on the first disc, I did watch it. The first disc contains the nine 1.33:1 upconverted standard definition episodes produced last season.

I then watched four of the HD 1.78:1 episodes. They do look more three dimensional, but the transfers still aren't perfect. There are artifacts which will keep the set from getting a perfect video score.

This will leave me with eight episodes to watch tomorrow. Since there are no other bonus features with the set, I will have no trouble finishing the episodes tomorrow afternoon.
