Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a trip, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently tripping right now.

Morning all.

We had a very pleasant weekend. We went to Lansky's deli on the Upper West Side (Columbus between 70th and 71st) on Saturday for Brunch. I had Corned Beef Hash with a Poached Egg and Rye Toast and Coffee and we split an order of Homemade Ruggelach for dessert. Yummm!!!

We entertained Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Anthony is having a couple of last shots before the tree and other decorations come down.

We then had baked tilapia (in a lemon pepper sauce), wild rice and mixed vegetables for dinner with some Italian pastry for dessert. And I'm supposed to be on a diet!

Long day ahead at the office. Later, gaters.

TOD:

I am not big on pork, only because I always mistrust that it's going to be tough.  But most of the time when it's served to me I find it tender and tasty.  Go figure...

I do enjoy my sister's traditional pork and sauerkraut at New Year's.  I've had very good pulled meat pork sandwiches.  And I remember a very good sandwich at TGIF or some such place that had a slice of roast pork that was slathered with a spicy mustard and served on ciabatta bread with sauteed onions.

Such beautiful and delicious looking cakes yesterday.....from DR JOSE and from the DP of DR MATTHEW.  This is the best way for me to enjoy cake right now - being on a diet and all.

Good morning, all! I am off to a series of blood tests prior to my physical exam in two weeks. I will come back here for some coffee and breakfast. Following that, I have a trip to midtown to pick up my recording check for FINIAN'S RAINBOW and a stop at the bank. Then I'm off to a meeting about the two Victor Herbert shows and completion deadlines. I hope I have time to return home for a bit. Then I've got a sound check and Jonathan's concert on Canal Street and West Broadway. It will be a long day.

BK, see a doctor about your fall.

Monday morning greetings!  Today is the day my Mom signs on the dotted line for her new apartment.  She'll get the keys and we'll check it out and maybe take a few things over, depending on how she feels.  Tomorrow's the big moving day (unless it snows).

Last night DR JRand mentioned watching the 1968 version of SWEET NOVEMBER. I've seen that one. But I actually really like the new version with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.

Last night DR Jane wrote:

I don't think they are positive where she is going yet. Because where she was supposed to go is closing.

She will definitely be going to public school. And she does have options.  Where she will probably be going is an English school, but where they do intensive french in kindergarten.

Vibes for BK. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I never can remember which to put (ice or heat), but maybe a nice heating pad would help? Or a sit in the jacuzzi?

I am happy (it doesn't take much).  My library which used to get all the new movies (you could take them for free) has not gotten any new ones since october.

I was sort of thinking maybe they ran out of money at the end of the year.

But now i checked today and all the new movies that were requested from october on are in processing. Yeah!

Just ordered MAD (4) WORLD.

My favorite scene in that film: Jonathan Winters destroying the gas station.

re: the TOD

I am not crazy about veal so i never eat it.

I don't really make lamb. The only time i would really eat it would be if the greek food i ate at a restaurant used lamb.

I do make pork sometimes (pork chops or pork roast).

I eat souvlaki often (love it). So often it is made out of pork.

Good morning!

The cold hasn't left us yet. Still in the teens this morning, but hopefully that'll be the last for some time, and it IS supposed to get into the 40s today, the first day in two weeks that it's gotten that high.

I did not take a walk this morning. I still had some congestion in my head, and I am just being super careful. So, more treadmill today. Boo!

While I was reading this morning's notes, I heard a delivery at my front door: yep, THE SIMPSONS 20th Season on Blu-ray, so that's my work project for the next two days. There are 21 episodes, and I'll start on them this afternoon. I haven't watched THE SIMPSONS  in at least ten years, maybe longer. I did watch THE SIMPSONS MOVIE which I found kind of bland despite all the praise and huge box-office.

All the networks have new offerings tonight except for the CW, and fans of FRINGE are reminded that there is a new episode on tonight at 9 p.m.

Other reminders:

CHUCK back into its regular Monday at 8 timeslot. (I haven't watched last night's shows yet.)

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER's 100th episode. I haven't watched the show in several years, but I've got the DVR set to record it because there is a musical number at the end of the show that features Neil Patrick Harris.

A new CASTLE tonight.
