Next I watched last night's LEVERAGE. Good caper(s), and the twist ending was a lot of fun. I love hearing these guys speak with an Irish accent.

I loved tonight's BONES episode. I just adore how the people in the lab have each other's backs, show such love and devotion to one another. It's actually quite touching the way they're written and played.

I don't know if this has been mentioned here or not, but I read this on another messageboard:

"Universal has announced a new Universal Vault Series of DVD-on-Demand titles that you can now purchase via Amazon.com, much like Warner's Archive program. The first batch of titles available includes Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995), A Good Man in Africa (1994), A Bronx Tale (1993), Pure Luck (1991), Shout (1991), Stick (1985), The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981), Resurrection (1980), Blue Collar (1978), The Last Remake of Beau Geste (1977), Shoot Out (1971), Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here (1970), Gambit (1966), The Brass Bottle (1964), Kitten with a Whip (1964), The Chalk Garden (1964), The List of Adrian Messenger (1963), 40 Pounds of Trouble (1962), The Perfect Furlough (1958), The Black Shield of Falworth (1954), Dragnet (1954), House of Seven Gables (1940), Spawn of the North (1938), Death Takes a Holiday (1934) and Ruggles of Red Gap (1933). "

Several appealing films in that list. Did they speculate on what each movie will cost?

I just went there and answered my own question: list - $19.99  ;  Amazon price  - $17.99

Some are as low as $14.99, including "Resurrection" (an absolutely mesmerizing film with tour-de-force performances by Ellen Burstyn and Eva LeGallienne, plus a superb Maurice Jarre score).

I just ordered RESURRECTION and THE LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER.

And then I finished my evening viewing with tonight's GREY'S ANATOMY.

The inevitable happened with Alex and Izzie which made me angry and sad at the same time. Some crossroads times for Mark and Lexie, too, and with the Chief.

We have been advised to go into the basement. Phoenix houses do not have basements.

Go to the innermost room in your house, one without windows, usually the bathroom.

That's definitely the place I have for tornados. My bathrooms all have windows and are all on the sides of my house.

By working diligently all week, I have whittled down my review stack to a single disc left: the Blu-ray of PARIS, TEXAS which I will be working on tomorrow. Unless something comes in the mail tomorrow (and I'm not expecting anything until next week), I'm looking at a potential free Saturday and Sunday to watch what I want when I want!

Hooray!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I did skim through today's soaps. Nothing of interest on ATWT or OLTL though Luke and Noah were in the previews for tomorrow (along with the new grumpy doctor).

The rain shut off for five minutes, so I got out there and put the new motor car in the garage.

I just watched "The Deep End."  It's very much like "Grey's Anatomy" as Matt guessed.  I'll see if it keeps my interest.  Nice looking people, but nothing new.

Cilla - Thanks.

I like Letterman's fact about Scott Brown (paraphrasing):  Global warming was caused in part by his smoldering hunkiness.

Just got back - boy oh boy!! What weather!!! Fortunately, I am under the protection of some very strong angels or else I have whucha call Good Karma - as soon as it was time to get in the ol' Kar, the rain abated quite a lot, and I was able to make it from Agoura Hills to Marina del Rey in under an hour, with no mishaps along the way. And the piano lessons were fun to teach tonight, too. And I had delicious chicken and salad at Rikki's house. Ah, life is good!!!

BK, I found in the McGlinnventory this week something I really wanted: a photocopy of the orchestra score for THE MUSIC MAN. The score's are dated Dec 1957. The show opened on Broadway on Dec 19, 1957, and the score for "My White Knight" is the final version dated 12/14/57. It's too bad the original ginormous version isn't among the scores.

MUSIC MAN is due out soon on Blu-ray.  I should be getting my review screener any day.

I have high hopes for the Blu and Ray of The Music Man.  I've already seen the screencaps at DVD Beaver and, as per usual with him these days, it all looks yellow - but my experience with his caps for the last six months is that anything that looks yellow in his caps looks perfect on the disc itself.  Even his caps for Michael Clayton, a film that has more blue than any film in recent memory, are yellow.  But the sharpness in the caps looks pretty good, which means it should look great.  Warners has been getting the color right on almost every recent Blu-Ray release, so I'm hoping this continues their good streak.
