I watched absolutely ZERO moments of the Superbowl...and consequently none of the commercials, either.  I've been burning CDs and scanning booklets.  I watched three episodes of "Bonnie Hunt" and that's it.

Just had to share. :)

Other superbowl ads that were favorites:

Betty White ad.

Doritos where black kid told his mother's boyfriend to play nice.

The Simpsons.

The Jay Leno/Dave Letterman.

The Dove one (although the end was stupid).

Correction, what I read had to do with the adaptation from novel to film.   I enjoyed the book but wasn't in love with it.

I never read the book. But can't wait to see the movie. I hope that maybe it is geared towards females and that i will enjoy it.

TAR premieres next Sunday!!!

Yeah. The good part about the superbowl party is that there were some SURVIVOR and TAR fans. So we could talk about next week's premieres. One guy loves TAR (and BB) and had no idea jeff and jordan were gonna be on!

I am very much looking forward to both shows.

I think I am too hyped up to sleep. Or at least too sugared up to sleep.

There was some interesting food at the party.  Lots and lots of chips.

I am in love with the scoop tortilla chips. Whoever invented those is a genius.

There was guacomole (which i love).

And also a very odd but tasty dip. It was hot. And had melted: cheese, refriend beans, rice, sausage, meat and a bunch of other things.

Also someone made chilli. Someone brought KFC (which i really like and have not eaten in years). Someone also bought pizza hut which i have not had in a long time).

I went to a Superbowl Party with teh Vixter - it was held at the house of one of the kids who belongs to her church youth group -

it was the most wonderful house I ever saw in my life - the Vixter asked the pastor who was in attendance if when she died to could choose to come to this house instead of heaven

I also watched the superbowl from the 2nd quarter on - the first time I have ever actually watched the game

it really was very exciting

duringteh thirs quarter while the Colts were trying all thos e long passes  I asked the guy sitting next to me - "If the one of the Saints catches the ball is he allowed to run back towards his goal with it?"

30 seconds later guess what happened?

"Does that answer your question?" he replied ---

I tried taking credit for suggesting the idea but they insisted that the guys on the field couldn't hear me -

I found that hard to believe as they were life sized --- I have never seen a  room like this ina house  - there was a Flat screen HD TV on the wall that was the size of a movie screen -- and in front of it were four rows of  6 leather recliners - complete with armrest cup holders

If I lived in that house I would never do anything but watch TV

Oh! The Doritos Ad, that's the fan ad by some guys from the Sioux City area.  Cool they won

Which Doritos ad was it. There were quite a few.  Was it the one with the guy full of doritos at the gym?

Yeah, doritos man hits him in the neck with a dorito dart and then comes out all covered in doritos....

We had a great Super Bowl party. I glanced at the tv once in a while, but mostly we sat around eating and chatting.

Vixmom, our Super Bowl parties are held in a house like the one you were in -- they have an indoor pool.

I had a nice evening at home. I got my laundry done, made dinner and watched tv.  I did some work outside today. It was in the 30s but we're going to get another cold wave so it will all freeze up again.  I did wash my gloves, scarves and hats today, so I'll be ready

Oh, it's getting late, I better get some sleep.  With everything that's been going on the past few weeks I'm a bit behind at the office and need to really crank out the work this week.  I better get some rest so I can do that

Hello, everyone.

I spent the afternoon knife-shopping. Now how many of you can say that?? I found a little paring knife, which was just what I was looking for. I also took a drive around some old haunts of mine.

I watched a very nice film tonight called THE WAR BRIDE. It's a Canadian production, available from Netflix. Nicely done. More WWII drama.

I'm glad to see DR ELMORE's post about BROKEN EMBRACES. I'd been debating whether to see it. HHW recommendations are always welcome.

DR MBARNUM have you read the June Kenney interview in Scary Monsters #73?  I ordered it today, but I sent a check since they don't have a PayPal account.

I have read it, and it is quite good. Most of the photos use in it are from my collection, in fact.

I spent the day in downtown Portland taking little Taylor and Ben to see THE TEAR'S OF JOY THEATRE's production of LITTLE ONE INCH. It was a puppet show based on a Japanese story. Very cute.

Prior to the show their was a puppet making in the lobby for the kids in attendance. Ben and Tay each made a "Kappo" puppet. Kappo, being one of the characters in the show.

After the show we walked around the park blocks and looked at statues and then up the the Portland Art Museum and checked out the sculptures in the courtyard. It was a very fun day and the kids had a blast, as did Uncle Mike (sometimes referred to as Monkey Mike).

While driving from Sherwood (where Taylor and Ben live) to Portland we passed through the city of Tigard, and there on highway 99W I discovered that the old Joy Cinema now plays new release Bollywood movies!

Color me happy!

I did a load of laundry this evening.  I washed my bathroom and kitchen rugs.  Exciting, huh? ;)

I'm watching "District 9" that I got from the library.  I almost forgot that it's due tomorrow, and since I don't want to get a fine for turning it in late, I'm watching it now.  There are a lot of holds on it, so I can't just renew it.  So far, it's very interesting.
