Very nice photo, DR MATTH.

Thank you, DR JRand, and thank you, DR Elmore. This was not our year-end dance recital but rather we were performing for a junior high school Valentine's Day dance.

You can't see it in this photo (I have another where it's plainly visible) but earlier that day, I had slammed the car door on my right hand thumb and it was wrapped up.

For those who watched Survivor last night this is pretty funny:

I'm going to finish up some stuff on the computer desktop and then head downstairs and get ready to go out on my usual Friday errands.

Time to head to the NYPL! I've got manuscript paper in case I cannot photocopy the music and gossip for my librarian friend Bob.

I, too, loved the movie version of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and felt half-hearted about the score of the musical. Though I liked it better than "The Full Monty" score, I wasn't too taken with much on the album except for the performers. I always thought it was something that didn't translate from stage to album. Oh well.

Congrats on the sellout.

TOD:

CD Player: "Henry, Sweet Henry" and "Take Me Along" (The Bob Merrill fix continues)

DVD: "Pushing Daisies" (first season) and maybe "Ran," which I haven't seen since it was originally released, and I remembered loving most every minute of it.

Car CD: "Alex Rider: Stormbreaker," a kid's series from the creator of "Foyle's War."

VCR: "Juliet of the Spirits"

Here's what's interesting about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - I went to You Tube to look for the number done on the Tony Awards and instead found the entire show in eight or nine parts, shot from the audience by some yokel.  And guess what?  Despite imagining how great the performances of Lithgow and Butz and Gleason, etc. must have been - they weren't.  Maybe it was an off night or a quiet audience, but the laughs were chuckles rather than guffaws (only a handful of those) and I thought the staging was dreadful (this reeks of Jack O'Brien, but I don't know if he did it or not).  I was, frankly, a little surprised by it.

Thanks for the tip on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. May watch it when I have absolutely nothing better to do. And it may explain all of Michael Riedel's recent comments on it.

The good news is that they say we may get by with only four inches of snow on Monday.

The bad news is that that is four inches we do not need.

DR Jane - Sounds like severe sinus pain to me.  If it recurs tonight, call you doctor first thing in the morning. (If you haven't already done so by the time you read this post).

LOL-I knew you would have something helpful to say on the subject. :)  Thank you, it makes me feel better.  Truthfully I was a bit nervous about going to sleep.  Once I got to sleep, no problems & while my eye is still mildly tender it isn’t anything to worry about.

Poor Keith, before going to bed he asked what the night holds in store.  I’ve given him, and myself, far too many scares in the middle of the night, especially these last 11 weeks.  The guy is a saint to still be here ;D

Back from having my hair done and running a few errands.  I have discovered a blood thinner side effect that I don't remember from last time - intolerance for the cold.  Of course, it was the middle of summer the last time I took blood thinners - today the temperature outside is barely above 20.

Is that a normal side effect?  I hope it is a temporary one, especially considering were you live.

I too had my hair done, only yesterday.  I was due for a haircut 11 weeks ago, which really was a good thing as the front was long & off my face.

Hope those were sonic booms we just felt.  There were two less than 10 minutes apart that shook the house.

DR Jane - it's not one of the side effects listed in the paperwork when you pick up a prescription, but common enough to be easily found on the Internet.  Actually, Richard found it last night after I spent the evening complaining about it being cold in our house and he was quite comfortable.  It's so unusual for me to be the one who's cold, he suspected that it might be my meds.  Sure enough, he found it right away.
