Next, I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Nothing of interest in terms of the guys I'm interested in. Nothing in the previews either, though I guess Luke could pop up to save his mother from his birth father who's gone totally psycho.

I skimmed through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE where Oliver and Kyle were on and in the midst of HEAVY DRAMA. (a screaming match is more like it.) But as I hoped, Fish came around.

Next, I watched a BURN NOTICE from last season on Blu-ray. In it, Tim Matheson guest starred as a psycho killer who recruits Michael for a job. Tim also directed the episode.

Enjoyed CHUCK very much, and now

the show takes another twist as another person knows the secret. I hope and pray this is the end of all that sneaking around. Of course, knowing Morgan as we do, is it REALLY a safe bet to have him know this secret? I'm glad Chuck has someone he can confide in, but I'm not sure Morgan was the better of his two choices.

Superb episode of '24' tonight. It was like the show at its very best from previous seasons: riveting from beginning to end, very emotional, and several edge-of-your-seat plots going on simultaneously.

Tomorrow's work project will be another film I've never seen: the Italian film DILLINGER IS DEAD, also from Criterion. It's on DVD.

I caught a bit of BRIGADOON in HD on TCM-HD late this morning before I left for lunch. Got to see my favorite number from the movie: "The Heather on the Hill" dance, and it was beautiful in HD.

I noticed that TCM-HD was also going to show IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHER afterward, so I had the DVR record it. I started watching it tonight, but it was not an HD transfer. There were interlacing artifacts everywhere, so it must have been a poor upconverted older transfer. After about 10 minutes, I just deleted it. The DVD release upconverted is a much cleaner and better looking representation of the movie (for now).

Now, I guess I'll finish up my office work for the evening and then head down to bed.

Good night!

I'm finally back home.  Had a fun meal at Tony Roma's with Barry Pearl and his ever-lovin' Cindy, and then attended the reading of the new musical - another new musical by people who simply do not understand the form.

I had an interesting call from a producer in NY who will be doing sort of an off-Broadway version of Encores for off-B'way musicals.  First up is Promenade.  He wanted to know about recording the series, so I gave him some information and he asked me if he could use Kritzerland's name in his press release and I said sure - no harm, really.

Well, I hate to do it (no, really I do!), but I must go to bed now.  In the morning, I'm bringing my car in to have it serviced and the appointment is at 8:00 am...what was I thinking??

So, good night, all. :)
