As for the Topic of the Day...

I think this is one of those situations where the National and State governments should have worked together somehow to help solve this problem and ease the hardship on and of the American people.  Otherwise, regardless of who's to "blame" or when it started, it's clearly at a point now where there is no "perfect" solution. Sacrifices have and will continue to be made things get back to any sort of normalcy.  Whatever that is.

As for tonight's "AI" elimination show...

What was up with that opening number? It actually sounded like they were singinglip-syncing along with the Michael Bublé's recording of "Haven't Met You Yet".

Had a nice shower and feel completely relaxed.  And book design session is tomorrow at four.  I have to do the dedication in the morning - it's going to be multiple people this time, but I've only decided on two so far.

Very true and, unfortunately, our political system doesn't do "less-than perfect" solutions very well. There is almost universal agreement that our health care sytem needs some work and there are a mulitude of "less-than perfect" solutions, none of which we seem to able to agree upon.

And, yes, a "big box store" = Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Target, etc.

And yet another teacher having sex with a fourteen-year-old student - this time a thirty-three year old married woman with children and a police officer for a husband.

Oh, and after the show, my friend, Thomas, and I headed around the block to Grimaldi's for one of their legendary "coal-fired brick oven" pizzas. Another Yum!

*And to "counteract" the hot chocolate, ice cream and pizza I had had, we headed back into Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a nice, not too cold, not too windy night for a walk.
