And speaking of THE BRAIN, are any of the other OUT-OF-TOWNERS (meaning those who live outside of Washington State) planning on attending the production in April??  Time is fast approaching folks!

True!  And I'm sure that it's not sold out...yet. ;)

I did skim through ONE LIFE TO LIVE and there was nothing of interest. Honestly, they want a show without the two most interesting characters it has? Weird.

Then I watched THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON on Blu-ray. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there were a couple of semi-slow sections, but I found the story very involving, and I am so glad I saw it and have it to revisit again.

Now, here's how I would rate the films up for those 2008 Best Picture Oscars. Notice my #1 and #2 choices weren't even nominated for Best Picture; neither was #7.

1. DOUBT
2. WALL-E
3. THE READER
4. MILK
5. BENJAMIN BUTTON
6. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
7. CHANGELING
8. FROST/NIXON

After the lengthy BENJAMIN BUTTON was over, I settled in with the ladies short programs from the Olympics. The judges were VERY generous to Carolina Kostner placing her #7 after the short. She put her hand down on her triple flip and her spins were embarrassingly corkscrew rather than centered. Of course, she imploded on the long program and fell out of the top 10.

Tomorrow I start the first of the films from the next Criterion box set I have: LETTERS FROM FONTAINHAS. The first film is called OSSOS. I know nothing about these movies except they're Portuguese and of fairly recent vintage. I guess I'll find out more about them starting tomorrow.

My eyes are getting very heavy, so I'm going to close up shop and head downstairs to bed.

Good night!

Funny line by Jim Gaffigan on Letterman -

Any time I see a kid swimming in the hotel pool, I think "I am swimming in a toilet."

Funnily, even I don't have Beyond Therapy - while I completely finished mixing the album in terms of its performances, I hadn't replaced some temporary sfx (gunshot especially) and the fools who put it out didn't bother fixing or talking to me about it.  Rather like the Sherman Brothers Album where they left half the band off.

Do you want a copy?

Nah, but thanks.

Had a long but fun book design session and it's now done, save for adding the photos, which we'll hopefully do in the next few days.  Meanwhile, I'll be proofing the book tomorrow, looking for bad breaks and stuff like that.
