I just had a thought...when we reach the hereafter, will we be so busy spending time catching up with friends and family that have gone before us that we wont have time to meet anyone new?

Possibly....for the first few hundred years.

For a very interesting and thought-provoking take on this question, DR Dan (the Man), I recommend the last 15 pages of Mary Doria Russell's Dreamers of the Day.  Well, I recommend the whole book, which I finished yesterday, but it concludes with an imaginative portrayal of the afterlife.

He clearly went very quickly between my cousin Sue's visit around 6 pm and 10:30 last night, so I thank you all for your vibes. I'm sure they were a comfort and an aid for a swift passing. It's all I could have asked for him.

I'm up, I'm up... And it's currently 58 degrees outside - with a projected high of 71 - and our radiators are on. ???

I haven't caught up on yesterdya's posts, so I would imagine it was mentioned  a lot yesterday.  But continuing yesterday's TOD, one of my favorite amnesia movies is "Random Harvest."  I will have to watch that again soon.

Good morning!

Beautiful morning out, and my walk would likely have been invigorating if I walked on Friday. Hope tomorrow morning is just as pretty.

I am so very excited about having the weekend off. I have discs laid out for today (see Friday Media Check), and I'll also have fun scouring the to-watch shelf for selections for Saturday and Sunday. With basketball on, there will be next to no TV being recorded, so I'll be filling viewing hours with stuff off the shelf, and that makes me very happy indeed.

With no MEDIUM or GHOST WHISPERER tonight, all I have recording is the next episode of SPARTACUS.

Glad I have a library of stuff to pull from for viewing purposes.

And bk mentioning THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG reminds me that I'd like to rewatch it, this time without a  pad and pen in my lap.
