BK --Just want to tell you how much I love The Steven Sondheim Album!  I bought it for Brent's song: "Make The Most of Your Music," which is wonderful, but I've come to love so many others.  Whenever I need a laugh I just listen to Dame Edna's "Losing My Mind."  And Norm Lewis is just so great on "With So Little to Be Sure Of/Who Could Be Blue"---I've listened to it over and over!  Those are just a few examples-the whole CD is terrific!

DR KevinH - I believe you mean "The Stephen Sondheim Album".  ;)
Uh, oh. Enough with the name checks on the site.

Well... At least I'm reading your posts. :)
Just having some fun.

My saying it was hack writing doesn't any more make it so than someone else saying it wasn't hack writing make it not so.

;D  Very true.

DR Ron Pulliam - In the spirit of "name checking", I believe you meant to indicate "Magic Johnson", not "Michael Jordan".

Michael Jordan had AIDS, not Magic Johnson.  I don't know who led the commission.

I always thought there were moments of inspired lunacy on "Designing Women," but it usually involved Alice Ghostley being Alice Ghostley rather than any of the political stuff.

Back from the San Fernando valley.

It is a lovely theater space - and technically the show is quite interesting....set wise, etc...a few missed cues here and there.

A couple of casting choices that seemed off to me.....one nearly fatal.....but the music sounded great and most of the jokes landed....one acting choice killed a big plot point....but then again.

MR BK - you have two COMPED tickets reserved in your name.  Scott R. says he hasn't told many people you are coming and asked if you would like to be introduced from the audience or otherwise singled out.....I told him I didn't think so, but just Facebook him if you have any concerns.

Very nice guy.  Just remember you are in Indiana......

It's up to them if they want to introduce me - I don't really care one way or the other - but I'll probably want to meet the company of players afterwards.

Wow!  Just like when Queen Elizabeth goes backstage.  Well, sort of.

Magic Johnson has HIV.  Don't know anything about Michael J and that.

???

Michael Jordan has never had AIDS.

And I guess I should clarify: Magic Johnson is HIV+.  His condition - at least according to "public knowledge" - has not developed into full blown AIDS.  Additionally, Magic Johnson did join the National Commission on AIDS, but he left the commission after a couple of months since he felt that the commission was not doing enough work.  However, he did found his own foundation/charity shortly after he announced that he was diagnosed with HIV, and the Magic Johnson Foundation is still working to combat the spread and stigma of AIDS today.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Prickly Sunday on HHW.

We celebrate it once or twice a year just to keep everyone on his toes.

Ahh, youth!  A guy I know who is a very talented singer and actor is just wrapping up two weeks of auditions and theater-going in New York City.  He just finished playing Don Lockwood in SINGING IN THE RAIN in Florida and is heading home to the Northwest for a production of 42nd STREET.

One evening, after attending a performance of PROMISES, PROMISES; he was asked how he liked the show.  After saying several nice things about Sean Hayes; he then added, "I liked Chenoweth mostly in her guitar folksie song."

I think we can never have enough of Kiss Mah Ass.....as they say in Designing Women - the pinnacle of television acting, writing, and as far as I know, makeup and doilies.

She won one or two Emmy's for her role.

Coincidentally, I received my Mr. BIG autobiography in the mail yesterday, and with a very nice inscription mentioning that I am the "biggest" AOPP (Attack of the Puppet People" fan ever...I am sure his daughter Susan ( previous interviewee of mine) had a hand in that since I wouldn't expect Bert to remember me from our one time meeting, and if so then that was particularly sweet of her to remind him!!

I should probably get back to my Bollywood horror film, ROKKK (2010). A ghostly story of a woman accused of two murders actually, or seemingly, perpetrated by an evil spirit.

Not a bad film and it has made me jump a few times. It stars Shaad Randhawa who is the son of two of my favorite yesteryear Bollywood performers, Malika and Randhawa. My only gripe with the movie is that there there are no songs/dances  >:(

Did everyone read about the airline that was considering removing all but one toilet on each of their planes AND make it coin-operated?

When I finished with housework, I settled in by pulling up my DVR list, and there was last night's CASTLE rerun which I had completely forgotten about, so I began by watching that. This was the one who revealed the person who murdered Beckett's mother (though it was just a hit man; we still don't know who ordered the hit). Very enjoyable episode.

Magic Johnson was HIV positive. I don't believe it has developed into full blown AIDS. To my knowledge Michael Jordan does not have AIDS.
