BK, I learned about your shout-out to me on Broadway World via the Judy Garland Yahoo Group's mailing list.

Joe Caps can eat my UNDERPANTS!

Oh, lord, I don't even know what this is about, but if that sour Joe Caps is involved, it can't be good.

Next, I watched THE TUDORS from Sunday night. Good gracious, did Lady Rocheford also have a love affair going with Thomas Culpeper? That's the first I ever heard of that!

Then I watched the second of last week's 30 ROCK episodes. Marginally funnier than the first episode, but the show has been left so far in the dust this season by THE OFFICE, GLEE, and particularly MODERN FAMILY that it's not even funny.

Nice to have CHUCK back tonight, and some of it was indeed lots of fun. So glad all the drama with Chuck and Sarah is over even if the writers are now going to have to leave their comfort zone to come up with a new plot. They've been milking that one for almost three years.

And I concluded my evening with tonight's '24.' What a predicament to have Jack Bauer now being hunted by his friends AND his enemies. I have to say they've done well to makes the last half of this season really first rate and now different from previous seasons. He's never been hunted by everyone that I can remember.

I did get another review copy today - the five film OSHIMA'S OUTLAW SIXTIES from Criterion. Again, it doesn't come out until May 18th, but since there are five films in there, I guess I'll work on the Blu-ray of WALKABOUT tomorrow, and then I can take my time with this latest big box set from Criterion.

Well, there is no one here to play with, so I guess I'll just head downstairs and go to bed.

Good night!

Good Evening!

A couple of hours ago, I headed down to New World Stages for a special performance of Seth Rudetsky's "Deconstructing Broadway: The Good, The Bad & The Headachey".  In a word, it was "A-MAH-ZING!".

It was a benefit performance for Only Make Believe, an organization which brings the Joy of Theatre to children with chronic diseases and disabilities.  A very worthwhile cause. *I actually won the tickets via Twitter for tonight's event.

What was really cool - or "kewl" as they like to say nowadays - was that that Betty Buckley was his special guest tonight.  She's currently in White's Lies which is also at New World Stages, but since her show was at 8:00, and the benefit started at 7:00, she was able to stop by beforehand to help Seth "deconstruct" as well as sing "He Plays the Violin".

*An added bonus: Before they headed out for their show, I ended up sitting next to Ms. Buckley's co-stars, Peter Scolari and Tuc Watkins. And Tuc Watkins' biceps.

For lunch i went to costco and had their hamburger for the first time. I have to say it was not for me. IT was really thick. It tasted okay i just didn't really like it.

Interesting...the Costcos here in Washington that I've been to don't have hamburgers.

Do they have that Chicken-Cheese-Pizza-Stromboli Thingy? -I believe that's what it's called. ;)

The cake with dinner was a delicious brownie with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate and caramel sauce. Very good!

So... Was it a cake? or was it brownie?

That does not sound familiar at all!  It sort of sounds kind of good...almost. 8)

And now, I must go.  Today is the first day that we're in the theater! :o We'll see how it goes!

Pray for Rosemary's Baby! ;)

How big is the band?

Well...it's only three pieces:  piano, electric bass and drums.  We were supposed to have also had an upright bass and a sax but the sax player was a high school student who backed out because she had to concentrate on her finals and I think that the upright bass player just quit. :P
