3DDIFFUSION is a freckle on the nose of life's complexion....or lower.

One of the first times she came here she asked for some kind of information about a restaurant or other LA landmark....she received replies from many HHW readers offering help and suggestions, and she accused each and every one of them as being wrong or misleading or giving her information she already had......ass.

I still enjoy the day that I caused her to inadvertently out herself here as the ass on another board who was dissing BK about another subject....and myself as well who just happened to go check on the situation and post as well...

ASS.....hope you are reading this, dumbass, and feeling helpless and outraged at being unable to reply because your stupidity made you one of only TWO people EVER banned from HHW....

3DDIFFUSION.....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha hahahahahahaha.  HA!

I got home from 2 very long meetings with the grantwriters just in time to have a quick supper with Richard and Rob before Richard left to rehearse with the Middletown Symphony Chorus.  They're doing excerpts from Bernstein's Mass a week from Saturday.  Now I'm looking forward to NCIS and GLEE.

I think Richard and I sang wth the symphony chorus when we were in high school. Or maybe I sang in the chorus and he played the timpani?

I'll ask him when he gets home.  He's finding this music pretty challenging.

I realize that I'm in the minority here, but I just finished watching the DVD of NINE, and I really enjoyed it...with reservations.

Granted, I've never seen 8 1/2, nor have I seen NINE on stage, so I'm just judging the film on its own merits.

I thought that the staging of the musical numbers were sensational, the performances terrific and the story certainly had me involved.

My primary problem with the film (show) is that the songs are not memorable.  Nothing that you would leave the theater humming.

I did like Marion Cotillard's first number and also Nicole Kidman's song.  I thought they were quite touching.

Anyway, take it or leave it, that's my opinion.

Good Evening!

Well...

As for tonight's "American Idol"...

<<<<<NO REAL SPOILERS, BUT... >>>>>

It was like Harry Connick, Jr., pulled out the charts that did not work him in the past.  And, was it my imagination, or was everything in the same tempo? :-\

Sorry, you lost me at "I've never seen 8 1/2."  You, a supposed cinephile have never seen the amazing 8 1/2.  Hmmm.  Well, glad you enjoyed Nine - I, and many others, found it to be a failure of major proportions.

That fellow who wrote me on Facebook just posted a review at amazon - apparently he was a Nudie fan and bought the book because of that.

Back when 8 1/2 came out, I was at a point in my life where I was totally turned off on foreign language films.  LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD did that for me.

When I finally got interested in foreign films again, I just never got around to it.  It was one of those "Yes, I should see it...but not tonight" movies.  I've never seen THE SEVENTH SEAL  or RAN either, so sue me.

I know that they are great movies, but they are not my cup of tea.

At this point in my life (and even back then), I want to be entertained.  I don't want to see a film...just because I "should" see it.

I hated AVATAR.  I hated THE DARK KNIGHT.  But, most people loved those films.

That's fine.  To each his own.

Frankly, I don't understand why you watch a lot of the films you watch, but if you enjoy them...great!

One man's garbage is another man's treasure.

Okay, my friend?

JMK - Innocent question:  I know how it's legally possible, but why would they let the business go bankrupt if they have plenty of money?

And if they have plenty of money personally, is their business going bankrupt really financially woeful, or just a common-sense strategic move?

Have any of your NY HHWers seen FENCES? I was reading about it in a magazine today and it sounded quite good...of course, I would certainly enjoy seeing Denzel Washington in the flesh on stage, but aside from that how is he play?

This morning afte dropping the Vixter to school I went to the gym and worked out for about 45 minutes.  Then I came home and pulled dandelions for a bit.  Then took the garbage out to the curb and then showered and went to work feeling virtuous and  sure that I was on track to losing those pesky extra pounds

Turns out it was one of my co-workers' birthday.  She turned 50 today. In celebration my boss bought lunch for us all from the gourmet deli down the road.  So instead of eating my planned lunch of 2 cups of non-fat yogurt I had grilled chicken breast with portabeloo mushroom cap and roasted red peppers witha balssamic vingera dressing served ona fresh baked poppy seed roll

Then he brought out the birthday cake - a selection of  samll chocolate  and vanilla cakes topped with various type of mousse - coffee, choclate, strawberry, rasberry, cheescake, caramel....

I suspect when I step on the scale in the AM I will not see a reduction in the poundage....

TCB -  We never actually had a run at the Village Theatre, just one of those weekend workshops where the writers get to have lunch with two most appealing locals as part of the contractual deal.  We had our lunch with HHW's very own delightful George and a local actor well known for a video of SCROOGE that I'd love to get my hands on.

And of course, from your mouth to  someone's ears

Although i suspect off-Bway is more likely for us than Broadway, but I suspect also not untilthe economy really gets better.
