The board would not let me post for a few minutes--I kept clicking the post button and nothing happened.  Could this explain the low posting numbers?

It is our annual Music Sunday at the Church I MD for, so I must be off for soundchecks galore.

Rather than a play, it should have probably been a Joan Crawford movie.

This afternoon is our final play in this year's season at the local theater. And once again I am sure I will endure the Theater Seat Bully trying to make me change seats.

Maybe they won't attend, DR LAURA.

Or maybe you could mention it to the usher - and certainly if you are getting subscriptions again, write a note when you mail your check.

They can't be more important than you.

My DVD is burning.....I checked once and it said less than 2 minutes.

I went back just now and it said less than 4 minutes.

Maybe the burner wanted to see one of the scenes again.

DR Laura, don't be such a wimp. Tell the asses to shut the hell up or go see an usher and have the pigs moved to a trough. I think I'm mixing metaphors in calling a spade a spade.

Then peel me a grape.

I will return after GHOSTS....the SYPHILIS play.

Didn't Cloris Leachman play Syphilis on television?

I haven't been a wimp. I have declined to change seats and will continue to do so.

When I renewed my tickets, I spoke with the box office manager and she assured me my season tickets won't be changed.

I'm up (barely) and shall now await the helper - we didn't really set a time although usually it's ten - I suspect eleven.

My very young neighbor in the monstrosity $1.5 million house next door was out in his yard yakking loudly until almost two-thirty in the morning, at which point I put a stop to it rather loudly.

We are always doing "our favorite this" or "our favorte that"; so today why not try something else?

What is the absolute worst film that ever starred Paul Newman?   (No fair saying SILVER CHALICE, just because he always said that it was his worst film)

OR

What film does the world consider to be an all-time classic; that you secretly have always hated?

Well, that is two choices.

I really enjoyed BURN AFTER READING.  No classic, but a lot of quirky fun.

I mentioned watching BURN AFTER READING last weekend.  I enjoyed watching it, but it was very much like watching a car wreck!

I enjoy CAMELOT - except when everyone mentions how "beautiful" Guenevere is - and Vanessa is really sort of plain....like all of the Walton girls....and I can't understand everything Franco Nero says....kind of like Genevieve Page iin YOUNGBLOOD HAWKE....but it is nice to look at, and the score is wonderful!

I love the film, CAMELOT.  I think the stage musical is a mess; and a very very very (that is three verys) long mess.

I love you dearly, but you are being a wimp if you let these fools continue to bother you. Declining to change seats is one part of the issue, but you clearly are letting your worries over these fools being ugly that you should insist on their being removed from the picture.  Have them moved, thrown out, put to death.

What are you seeing today, Laura (other than the Theater Bully)?

It sure is! Even as a kid I knew it when I saw the national tour in Cincinnati in 1964 or 65. It was great to look at and completely sexless for a musical about adultery. Lerner tried to fix the show with the London version and some of that rewrite is in the film, along with the same designer. I just gave a friend the program from the Toronto tryout, and now I want to hear the two big cut numbers, "The Quests," which happened before Lancelot's knighting and involved several knights and a lot of other folk, and Guinevere's "Face To Face," which followed and appears to be in the same spot as "Before I Gaze At You Again," which is not yet in the show.

I need a new CD player. Damn.

Back from a three-mile jog.  Helper asked if we could do tomorrow instead of today - luckily the morning is free, but this is going to stop as of tomorrow.  She cancelled Friday, assured me it would be today.  But this morning she informed me she'd been up till four in the morning playing, and was not feeling well.  I need just a bit more responsibility than that - if you know you're working at ten, don't play until four.

Ask me if I care.  I don't.  If it's two pages then it's two pages.  If it's one page it's one page.

I've finished all of my work at the apartment and I have the rest of the day to myself! I haven't decided if I should watch a DVD, run out to see SATC 2, or listen to something with a vocal or full score. Options!
