Saturday morning greetings!  Mary Linda arrived in time for us to say HI before we went to sleep last night.  She and I are going to Kathryn's and to the garage sale in a little while.  Early this afternoon, I'm going to take my mom to Indianapolis for a 90th birthday party and then we're going on to Normal, IL, to spend a few days with my DN Laura (who was with me in NYC for DR PennyO's show in 2005).

It's pouring rain here in SW Ohio, not good weather for any of the above  :P

BK A word of warning if you that La Cage Aux Folles 2 was bad, avoid La Cage Aux Folles 3.

Yikes! I don't remember hearing of such a movie. If it were were worse than part 2, then I can see why.

I slept more than eight hours last night and have to say that it was wonderful. The Saturday shift has been moved from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. And that feels like a blessing.

It is Satureday, and the weather man has promised an sunny, 80 degree day which, after weeks of clouds and rain, will be a joy to behold. However, at 8:34 am there is still no sign of sun or warmth.

Today I will mow the lawn, plant a few more flowers and maybe watch the 1960s movie SUBURBAN ROULETTE.

Blu and Ray

It's finally getting warm here in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area.  I'm jiggy with it!

Yesterday, I had some correspondence from a certain composer who goes by their 3 initials (not ALW) asking me to stop trading his "stuff" on a certain file trading site I belong to as it wasn't "cool".  I wrote back explaining why we trade and that I saw his point and gave him a solution to ease the trading.  Irony is, it's possible I'll be meeting said composer in the next month as he's coming to do a workshop with our older kids from this camp I'm working at this summer (I'm working with another group) as they are doing his newer "kid" show that has a number for a title.

Glori-oski!  I didn't realize that this morning was Tacoma's SOUND TO NARROWS RACE.  I am about a half mile from the race course, but this year they have added some sort of drum and bugle band (minus the bugles) to the festivities.

I assume the drummers are from Ft. Lewis.  The first race to get under way is always the military units.

Ok, for the third night in a row we've had over 1 1/2 inches of rain.  I'm glad I live on a hill, my old house is probably getting water in the basement

Well, since the holiday falls after Independence Day, I should be able to score lots of bunting for my balcony at half price on July 6.

I did wake up to a thunderstorm at 3:18 AM, but only stayed awake long enough to unplug computer, TV etc.  There was a lot of lightning and thunder.  I got almost 10 hours of sleep.  Boy did I need that!

Mary Linda and I had a great time at Kathryn's and the garage sale, even in the rain.  I'm now getting a bite of lunch before packing up the car and picking up my mom for our Indy--->Illinois trip.

I forgot to mention that Wednesday afternoon, after I had already gone home for the day; we had an unexpectedly heavy rain shower.  My co-workers suddenly started getting calls from the Security Guards suggesting that they move their cars out of the parking garage, as it was now under two feet of water.

I was hoping to show some of the photos that were taken during the flooding, but the photo file was to big to send on our work computer.  I will try for photo uploads next week.
