Off to make dinner. Got a host of farm-grown heirloom tomatoes and some goat cheese. Sounds like a meal in the making.

I just finished Josh Kilmer-Purcell's THE BUCOLIC PLAGUE, DR John G; you might enjoy it. I really did!

DRs, did any of you watch the series ELI STONE? I'm thinking about renting it for something to watch till BONES Season 5 turns up. Any thoughts?

Stayed up late for the BIG announcement.  Ordered my copies.   Tried to wind down.  Went to bed at 2 a.m.

Took the day off (planned...it was approved last week).

Spent morning on computer, afternoon catching up on my DVR cache (True Blood, Hung, Masterpiece Theater Miss Marple -- "The Blue Geranium"), and now I am here.

A bit worn, a bit trampled, a bit flea-bitten, but here.

Yes, "Eli Stone" was a very good series, if perhaps a bit too esoteric for mainstream acceptance.  Jonny Lee Brown is very good as brilliant lawyer Eli Stone...and makes us believe he is the man who sees visions that come true.  It's not a waste of anyone's time...not if one likes to think about what one is seeing, that is.

I know exactly what you mean.  Have been home all day.  I was ready for a nap 43 minutes ago when I logged on to this computer, and I'm STILL ready for a nap.

Kevin, several years ago Sandra and I were in Las Vegas (she was underage). We had a whole day to waste before the evening show we were going to see, so we amused ourselves by photographing the different carpets in the casinos. Casino Carpet Photos became a running gag here on HHW.

In spite of the fact that my Facebook account got hacked, there are some advantages to being a member on Facebook.  The other day I got an e-mail from a former Tacoma actor, who has been for the last seventeen years or so, an L. A. actor.  He played my youngest son in LION IN WINTER.  I think we did the show in the late Eighties.  He just told me that he taped a reeharsal and I believe the final dress rehearsal of LION.  He said he had just gotten his video camera so he was using it for all sorts of things.  He says that part of the DVD is Sharry and I in the dressing room talking about the shows we had done together.

I am so hoping he will send me a copy.

I'm turning my attention now to "God's Secretaries," which you recommended. Had to get through "Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," which I know you're not very interested in.

We watched a couple of episodes and then stopped.  I think you might enjoy it.

On the contrary. I quite enjoyed it. It was the weakest of the three books for me, but it was from the library and I had read before it was due back. I can renew "God's Secretaries" because there's no waiting list for it. But I'll check out "Bubonic Plague," too, unless you think the musical version will come along in short order.
