The car seemed fine this morning. Didn't smell and looked clean.  We decided not to tell Sam it happened to try to prevent a total freak out.  Well, she figured it out and totally freaked out.  Not sure if she's still going to come to my house next weekend. Plans for boating were canceled, dinner plans canceled, you name it.

That seems rather extreme.  Was the apology sincere or done while laughing?

Good morning, all! I slept late, and I must say I am feeling better than yesterday.

Great news!  I'm also feeling better than yesterday :)

One of my least favorite stupid thrillers is Jagged Edge - but there was a whole slew of 'em in the 1980s.

Whether former dear reader Jose is answering e-mails or not (apparently not, according to those from here who've written him) he is, apparently, having a high old time and things appear to be as usual for him.  I'm glad he's found his new home on Facebook and wish him all the best.

R.I.P. Ilene Woods - the voice of CINDERELLA   :-\

Thank you. I enjoyed reading about her.  I didn't realize Mike Douglas was the singing voice for the prince.

DR Elmore - glad to hear you're on the road to recovery before you have to be on the road to Ohio!

I always wondered if they had 2-3 different endings for that one.

The one they used seemed rather arbitrary.

DS Rob just shared this with us and I don't recall ever seeing it here on HHW before:

Star Wars Medley

There might be an ad beforehand.

I want to send out  a great big THANK YOU to BK for the PROMISES, PROMISES release which arrived in my mailbox this morning.
I took it in the car with me to the mall and listened to Disc Two and all I can say is "WOW!"  Until today, my favorite recording of PROMISES, PROMISES was the Original London Cast recording. . .Bruce's production & remastering has raised the bar and completely reversed my opinion of the OBC and London recordings.  This is the PROMISES, PROMISES which will be getting all the play in my players.
Thank you Bruce!

Due to the elections in Mexico this weekend.  The law is there is no alcohol served in public from 1:00pm until tomorrow evening.  This excludes restaurants when served with food.  Therefore, no swim up bar, no lobby bar, etc etc.  Personally, I don't care, but to watch others (mostly Americans) pitch a fit is humorous to me.   Do they not realize they are guests in someone else's country and therefore must abide by their rules?   The resort may cater to Americans, however, they still try and uphold the traditions of their country.  The sense of entitlement of Americans saddens me.  I'm going to win the lottery and move to Europe.

Oh it's much worse than that now.  I don't even want to talk about it, I am just too mad.  I'm home now.  I think I'll go to SITP and try to forget I even have relatives

Back home for a moment.  Even though her sister and I both told her to go nowhere near the computer, somehow the sister managed to unplug the power strip, so I had to plug it back in and start everything up again.

Just a guess here but if the hotel advertises a pool bar people are going to be upset the hotel didn't inform them of the closure when they booked.  How rude they are about it is another story. ;D

We purchased buttermilk and blueberries for pancakes tomorrow.  On the way home a red fox trotted across our road in front of the car. :)

I thought and do not like the film version of Deathtrap. I especially disliked the ending which was completely changed from the stage version. One set plays very rarely translate well from stage to screen as in the other Michael Caine/Christopher Reeve film Noises Off

And nothing. :)   We watched it trot across the road and disappear into the brush.  It was on our road & we were only driving about 15 miles an hour.

I went to Saturday in the Park for a while I saw Amanda Shaw and the Nice Guy Band http://www.myspace.com/officialamandashaw
She was fabulous!! It was a lot of fun but it's really hot out.  I was there about an hour.  It's so hot and getting really crowded very early this year.  I came home and took a shower....man did that feel good.   I may go back to hear Steve Winwood and Santana, but I'm really not sure.  All the family drama has sort of taken the wind out of my sails
