Last night's performance of BLITHE SPIRIT was most excellent, with Mr Tim Good as Charles Condomine receiving entrance applause from his colleagues at DePauw University who happened to be in attendance, which was fun.

Cast also received a standing ovation, its first.  Good hearty laughs all through the evening, and only a few line bobbles here and there.

:D  Congratulations!

That was my initial reaction.

Thanks for your comments Cilla.  I'm pleased the work at your house is going so well.

DR Elmore - just talked on the phone with Jo and they're getting ready to go camping with the grandkids, so we decided to wait until Sunday evening to make arrangements for me to deliver her gift.

Excellent! Thank you, DR Ginny.

I had a two and a half hour session with two student dentists, one from the Soviet Union and one from Pakistan, both lovely ladies, and their supervisor, lots of x-rays and a plan of attack.  The young Russian doctor will be my dentist from now on and I like her very much.

DR Jane - my group read A LESSON BEFORE DYING several years ago because it was Cincinnati's On the Same Page all-city read selection.  It was very much out of character for us and not one of our favorites.

Fantastic photos Laura.  Yesterday a yellow butterfly with black trimming flew along side me while I jogged.  It was rather exciting.  Whenever I see a butterfly now I think of you.

I will definitely read it before making my next choice.   I just began another possible pick, "The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane : a novel", which DR td insisted I read.  So far I'm enjoying it very much.  Thank you td.

Thank you DRs Ginny, DtM, elmore, MBarnum, & Laura.  I'll report when we return from his appointment.  It isn't bothering him at all and I have no idea how long it has been there.  I was lucky to find it.

Sherlock had a wonderful time at the lake today.  There was a cute chocolate lab puppy for him to play with.  He smiled the entire time.  Keith had to hose him off twice when we returned home he was so dirty.  We much prefer dirt to foxtails and burrs.

I've now watched 7 of the 8 films in the new Film Noir set from WHV.

I liked CORNERED, THE PHENIX CITY STORY, DIAL 1119 and ARMORED CAR ROBBERY.

Didn't think so much of DESPERATE, CRIME IN THE STREETS or DEADLINE AT DAWN.

I'll watch the last one, BACKFIRE, this evening.

Very good dentist news, Elmore!

I think it's time to get ready for LEND ME A TENOR and head down to 45th Street.

Thank you Drs Druxy & George.

I'm waiting for test results to confirm it is only a sebaceous cyst.  This is good even though it still needs to be removed.  If left it will continue to grow and there isn't a whole lot of room on a tail for that ;)

I met the relief vet today and was very pleased.  I had heard good things about her and it was nice to confirm them.

About a year ago I was hiking the trails with Sherlock and met a nice couple who stopped to admire him.  They were in the process of moving here.  She had sold her vet practice in Portland and was looking to work as a relief vet here.  I told her my vet was great and she should work there.  I then proceeded to tell her reason why she shouldn't work for another vet in the area.  All the way back to my car I kept thinking I couldn't believe what I had told these people I didn't know.

Guess who is now the relief vet for my vet and recognized Sherlock today :)  Small world.  She also told me she appreciated my comments and check out the other vet incognito when her dog needed a rabies vaccination and agreed with my comments.

Smart lady worked for awhile at the emergency practice to get a feel for the vets in the area.  She said she only sent her resume to six vets.

I got stood up at lunch by the photographer.  She's really scatterbrained and not all there, I'm afraid.  Now we're supposed to get-together Sunday at one - we shall see.  One good thing that came out of it is she feels really bad and offered to take a free portrait - since that was one of my main purposes in getting together, I'll hopefully save some dough.
