Okay it's taking me too long to go through all today' s posts. So let me write this before I start reading Page Three.

It was so hot here today. Crazy weather. I think it was like 75F+. Wonderful!

Did lots of shopping.  Did some bad eating (the free food at Club Price is a killer) and sat out in the sun for a while.

This is one of my favorite musicals to listen to on cd.  And I have never seen a live production.

I would also like to see all the Sondheim musicals that I have not seen.  So far I've seen: S. Todd in concert (but would like to see a full production), A Little Night Music, Putting It Together, Forum, and Company. I want to see all the rest.

I was not writing a novel, folks. My trackball - pardon the expression - was sluggish, so I started to clean it while it was still attached to the keyboard - which landed me in the Reply mode - which I didn't notice - and when I finally did - I logged off.

I also saw Whale Rider a few months ago, and liked it.
But it was a very different type of film, which I'm sure would not be everybody's cup of tea.

It was quite interesting though that the little girl got nominated for an Oscar.

How did you cope with the NZ accents Jennifer? I wondered if the movie needed subtitles in North America. I can recommend "Once Were Warriers" as another great NZ movie (Maori culture again!) and of course Peter Jackson's "Beautiful Creatures" (I think that's the title) is really interesting too. The TV movie "An Angel At My Table" is also worthy of international attention.

I was also surprised she was nominated, though I enjoyed the movie and her performance.
I also found the movie to be very sad.

Evening all!

I had to go out before I finished catching up on all the posts I missed.  I just finished.  Thank you all for the wonderful tips on my NYC trip.  I copied and pasted them all into a MS Word doc and downloaded them to my PDA so I can refer back to them.

The computer is still acting a little strange.  Or at least it seems to be acting strange.  I would like more info on those two programs.  If it's free, it's for me!  

Norton does seem to be doing a pretty good job--so far.

Well, I ran here and there today.  Then I ran there and here.  I found some treasures.  

At the dollar store I found the following DVD's.  Yes, I said DVD's and they were all a dollar each!

Little Shop of Horror   B&W  77 minutes Staring Jack Nicholson

His Girl Friday  B&W 92 minutes Staring Cary Grant; Rosaland Russell

Santa Fe Trail  B&W 90 minutes Staring Errol Flynn (! sigh! :) ) and Ronald Reagan

Escape from Sobibor Color 1 hour 58 minutes staring Rutger Hauer (sigh)

Beyond Justice Color 113 minutes Staring Rutger Hauer (sigh)

The Inspector General B&W 102 minutes Starring Danny Kaye

And a VHS tape of The Greatest Story Ever Sung  With Michael Crawford (double sigh)

I don't know how good they are  but I will let you know.  They had tons of old tv shows-Burns and Allen, cartoons, Dick Van Dyke to name a few.  .John Wayne movies like Angel and the Badman and (much to my suprise) McLintock!.  I already had those so I passed them by.  

I bought Mom a little flower for May Day which she liked very much.  Hope you all had a good day!

It's funny you should say that (ooh, a very obscure Lambert & Potter by Sergio Mendes reference), because I have been thinking about sorting my DVDs.  They are all over our house and are completely unsorted.  Quite unseemly.
