I had a bowl of beef vegetable soup and a grilled cheese sammich (on sourdough).

Twitter seems to strongly suggest I follow this guy even though he's only tweeted there twice a year ago:

Hah!  I don't remember the last time I tweeted!   I get messages all the time telling me someone is following me on Twitter.  I know I signed up for it via Hamsterwatch a year or so ago to keep up with the goings-on on "Big Brother 11".  But that was as far as it got...who knew?

At least I'm in good company....Wil Wheaton!!! LOL!

Our next show release is from the early 1960s and if anyone was paying attention to the notes in the last few weeks you'd basically know what it was - or who the songwriter was.

BK, I read all of your notes...I just don't keep track of them. ::)

Question for BK:  what are two or three of your favorite television entertainment specials from the past?

So many that I can't think of any.  Isn't that always the way?  Ethel and Mary comes to mind.

Mary Schwartz & Ethel Hodgekiss?

ASK BK

I was watching a show from the 60's and at the end there was a crest for "Television Code". What was it and is it still in use today? (The 60's only 3 networks & no cable channels so it might be hard to have a code today)

I don't think there's any official television code today - just whatever the FCC mandates.

Watched two Adam 12 episodes, the second of which was shot all around here.  One great shot at Ventura and Colfax at a gas station that's now a strip mall with a Subway and Falafel place, and best of all the reverse shot of the Volvo/Fiat dealer and TV repair place - where now sits the Studio Cafe.  Also, several neat shots of Sherman Oaks - Moorpark right near Beverly Glen (I used to live three blocks from there), and a great shot at Ventura and Matilija.

I don't know exactly how the following will be received by members of this forum.  I expect some will find it hilarious, and others will find it inflammatory.  Most everyone will remark at it being a bit profane.

But, it's called Broadway Rhythm No. 1 and it has its point-of-view!

Watch with caution!

That was f*cking hysterical.

I apologize for being almost completely E & T yesterday.  My computer decided to freeze up, and no matter what I did it wouldn't stay connected to the Internet.

Very funny!   Nothing against Alice Ripley, who was great, but I just didn't "get" Next to Normal.

No need to tell you who the clown in the middle is, I suppose.  If there's a camera around, he was always there.

TCB?

I wonder if a certain director had something to do with the interruption :)

I doubt he is talented enough.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!  It's the big 3-1 & I have the birthday blues. Never happened before!
You all can laugh at that because I'm so young & theoretically shouldn't have them, but I do. :(

On the bright side, I'm heading to Yosemite to spend the day & then watch the meteor showers from Glacier Point.

So glad you stopped in! :)

Wednesday morning greetings!  I managed to sleep 'til a normal time for me and feel much better.  Maybe that means I'll be able to delay today's nap until mid-afternoon.

My break is over & I must get back to work or I shall not be ready for company tomorrow.  Keith's cousin is coming for a 4 night visit :)

I hiked at Mt Ashland this morning & it was filled with wildflowers.  I must take her up there while she is here.

I have some interesting projects to ponder as I wander on my jog.  A whole slew of limited edition CD titles that sold out very quickly on another label are all now available to me - the big question would be - are there enough sales over what's already sold?  That is a big question.  One title is one of my all-time favorite film scores to one of my all-time favorite films - in fact, I tried to get it, but this other label had already locked it up ages ago.  They put it out a few months ago and it sold out in less than a week at 1000 units.  So, for example, if I were to do it, I would hold back until after the first of the year, so the market could refresh itself.  Some of the other titles I'm interested in sold out several years ago and command high prices - those are all worth considering.  If I can find five or six, that would basically carry me through the end of the year with releases, which is a good thing.  But I can't do them if my online dealers don't think there's enough sales, so I'm waiting to talk to the biggest of those dealers - decisions will depend on his reaction to various titles.

My niece made me a pan of lasagna for my birthday.  I could very easily over-eat tonight!

But I will be good.

Yesterday Cilla mentioned having to check on the cat house sitter.  Boy, do I know a lot of straight guys who would love to apply for that job.

BK, you mentioned Art Gilmore the other day.  Mr. Gilmore was from Tacoma, and I believe he went to WSU with my aunt.  His younger sister was a teacher here in Tacoma, and she and my mom were good friends.  She met Art on a number of occasions and she always talked about a nice man he was.

Once I became an adult, and had developed my speaking voice, she always wished that I could get together with him for some possible career advice.  It never came to pass.
