i just reread the question of the day and it's more general than I thought. It's not just about living arrangements, but ANYTHING you would do with unlimited funds. So I will add the following (even though it sounds like I'm running for Miss America) -- I'd also use my umlimited funds to in a small way do some good in the world -- help a few people, etc.

I'll leave the Page Five Dance to those with the fancy-schmanzy animation...

A simple meal for tonight.  A couple of steaks, a couple of baked potatoes, and beets and carrots.  I've got the beets and taters in the oven now, roasting happily.  They'll be joined by the carrots in a bit.

Using click smilies is much easier than that.  All you have to do is choose the one you like - an address appears in the box on the page.  Highlight it and cut and paste it into our reply box.  That's it.  Simple as pie.  You don't have to do anything else here, just cut and paste the address from click smilies.

Jane - Doesn't work for me - when I click on what I like, nothing happens.

Actually, it's even easier.  Once the address appears in the box on click smilies, just cut and paste - no need to even highlight it - just ctrl C, then ctrl V here in the reply box, and post.

DR Robin: I copied your photo into Adobe Photo Workshop and tweaked the contrast/brightness.

I appreciate the effort, but I'm way too computer-illiterate to actually know how to do this.

I've been posting about Rehoboth Beach over at another site for some time now, particularly about the restaurants.  Someone who works in restaraunts in the DC area decided to post a really negative opinion about the town, which is decidedly his right to do.

What's nice is that some of the other regulars immediately posted back on how they enjoy my writing, and how they like hearing my opinions.

As a Mel Brooks reference has it, It's good to be king.

DR Robin, keep the darker photo!  It makes you look much more mysterious and intriguing!

Panni, you did it!  :)

I’m trying to find some new free smiley sites.  I think I have found one, then it’s free if I sign in, or free for me to copy but I don’t think to post.

SWW, nice compliment.

Good Evening!

-But wasn't DR Robin's avatar pic already here? ???

Well, the nap did help.  A lot!  I just felt bad that I had to beg out of dinner with my friend, Mark.  He more or less caught me mid-nap, and I just needed a few more winks in order to feel better.  -I was most definitely not feeling that well when he stopped by to say Hi and share a hug.  Hopefully, next week we'll be able to sup and catch up.

***Possible American Idol Spoiler Ahead***

I'm watching the "American Idol" special.  Actually, it's not too bad.  Interviews with "Seacrest" and then each contestant sings one of their favorite songs from the previous rounds.  And they all seem amazingly relaxed - and on pitch!  *In which round did Fantasia sing "Summertime"?  -It was nice to hear that part of her range.

***END of Possible Spoiler***

Oh, and I decided to give the new washer/dryer that the landlord finally had installed a test run.  Very nice.  And surprisingly "roomy" for a stackable unit.

Hmmm... I think I need a dish of some Breyer's Peach Ice Cream...

Well, at least I know it's time for me NOT to watch "The Swan"... ugh!

Evening all.

Blessings and good vibes to those who need them.

If money were no object.  Well, I had a dream once where that was just the case.  I won a huge lotto and I bought hundreds of acres of land.  And on that land I built housing for both homeless humans and homeless animals.  We even had a motto, “The homeless helping the helpless”.

I remember seeing it so clearly.  There was a long row of shops with a fountain in the middle and every shop was ran by someone who lived in the housing.  There were saddle shops, feed stores and book shops to name a few.  We had schools to teach grooming and black smithing and veterinary services and bookkeeping and all manor of things to keep the place running.  Part of the profits went right into the schools and to take care of the animals.  People came from all over to have their animals taken care of by our people.

Nothing or no person was turned away.  I remember walking by the place where we had alligators that had wandered into peoples yards and such.  We didn’t kill them, we kept them safe and well cared for.  Then there were the big cats and the elephants.  You name it, we had it.  There were old horses put out to pasture to do as they pleased.  And the humans were all good people who just needed a little help.

I’ve never forgotten that dream.  It was a good one but one I would make come true if money were no object.

I hope everyone who is meeting on May 10th have a WONDERFUL time.  Perhaps we could do the same in NYC?  I only really have evening plans for the 23rd (my first night there) and my last night there on Thursday.  Any other evening would be great for dinner–maybe at that restaurant that was mentioned some time back?

I like Click Smiles as well.  I don't know of any other free sites but if I find them I will post them.

Here's a casting coupling that's caught me off-guard:

Vin Diesel and Judi Dench!

They're together in The Chronicles of Riddick, a sequel to an earlier Diesel fueler, Pitch Black.

She plays the ambassador from an alien race.  So no, I don't think they've got any love scenes together.

Der Brucer spotted an ad on the television; it opens in June.

Danise that was/is a lovely dream.

I have been out on the lawn with Keith and Echo watching the birds.  For now, until they move on, the blue birds are with us.  :)

DR Panni: I think you have mastered the clicksmilies site.

Here are the instructions DR Jane gave me for the animated pics.

Go to: http://www.gifs.net/animate/giflist.htm

Where it says "click here for extra pages" click on that.

In the 2nd paragraph there is something that says "list" click on that.

Click on the gif you want.  Highlight the url and paste it on HHW in the reply mode.

Highlight that and click on "insert image" icon. (the picture frame one).

Stupid rant for the day:

My TV is having problems. Some of the channels are "fuzzy." Called Adelphia and (after 15 minutes of waiting to be connected) ascertained that the problem is not with the box, but with the lines coming into the house. Fine. But they can't send out a repairperson until Friday! You'd think that with the fortune they charge, the sevice would be a tad better. End of rant.
