DR MBarnum - The NY Times reviewed the new Bollywood movie, "We Are Family", which, as it turns out, actually gives a proper screen credit to the original movie that it is based on, "Stepmom". It's a short review, but one phrase did catch my eye:

"They both have chemistry with Arjun Rampal, the almost excessively handsome actor who plays Aman, Maya’s ex."

-"almost excessively handsome" - Do you agree with that assessment? ;)

I would say that "excessively handsome" is a very good description of Arjun Rampal.

I've had progressive bifocals for about 5 years.  They are the best at work, and the only way to go for desk work involving constant moving up and down back and forth to and fro.

I often wondered what Glenn Beck's fans might be like.

I accidentally discovered my new favorite snack bread for work, artisian filone pepper bleu.    I thought I was buying my regular artisian sour dough raisin bread and discovered there were no raisins.  Oh well, I'm happy for the next 3 lunches. :)

I forgot to tell Jose, that I think I saw another monkey here in LA, being carried tightly by a beautiful little girl.

DR MBarnum - Well, in retrospect, I guess my question was more or less answered as soon as I asked it.

DR George - I'll be interested to hear how the job situation progresses.  Good luck!

Thanks!  I'm certainly interested in the job situation progression. :D

Conversation earlier tonight
Me: Maybe I'll tile my backsplash tonight
Mom: Nothing on TV, might as well.....

So....I am really tired and it's very late for me, but the tile is on the wall.  I have to do a little creative work - especially around the outlets, and maybe cut a few glass tiles to finish up step one, but I'm too tired to do the detail work tonight.   I'm not sure if I'll feel like grouting tomorrow or not, but that will be a piece of cake compared to the work I did tonight.

I used the $150 in gift cards I got for listening to a talk by West Publishing at the meeting in Toronto to pay for part of the tile and supplies.  The tile was still more expensive than I would like, but I have quite a bit to return, so this project will end up being fairly reasonable for a nice mosaic glass tile backsplash.

I'll post photos when I'm done.

SO, all that's left to complete my kitchen is replacing the vinyl floor and getting a new light fixture.  Both can wait, since I've really spent more than I planned to this summer, but it's getting there.
