I am only interested in his voice, DR Elmore.

Or, at least, his throat!

On another note, I've got to rent a car in Ohio and I need to know the DRs' opinions on the best and least expensive rentals. I thought the car I rented two years ago was way too high for a week, but I can't remember which company I used!

Rates vary all the time.  I would check the internet for sales & see who has the best price.  A smaller car will cost less.  Expedia or Travelocity might have better prices but don't count on it.  Always compare the discount sites to what the rental companies have.

Ditto.  *There are some AFM discounts out there too via Union Plus.  Just check AFM.org for details.  You can also call some of the car rental agencies directly and ask about their discounts for Union members.

Back from the staged reading which was hardly that - more like a sort of community theater level workshop - all the wrong things - props, miming doors, just ridiculous - these things are supposed to be about the material, not silly and unnecessary props.

My library seems to have lost 3 of my movie reservations. :(

It sort of sucks because we're not allowed to reserve movies, unless we suggest them. But we have to do this on slips of paper. I guess it's a miracle they don't lose more of the slips.

It will probably turn out okay. Every other time this has happened they've always given me the reservation (since they know me and I keep a detailed list of everything i request). it's just a pain.

Jennifer, I must say that your library has some very weird rules regarding requests. :P

I'm now leaving work to work concessions for a performance by Ruthie Foster and Eric Bibb called Thanks for the Joy.  It sounds like it'll be a swell evening. :)

Until later!

I didn't stay for the whole show, but Ruthie Foster and Eric Bibb were both very good.  Eric went first and did his set.  Ruthie's set was after the intermission.  Eric play the blues on his guitars and sang and Ruthie had a small but loud and energetic combo.  The couple of songs of hers that I listened to were very good and high energy.  He was very good also, but more mellow and of course, bluesy.
