Well...

I thought I was going to head out earlier, but then I started to feel a bit achy and nauseous...

So I napped. Again.

I am tired, not sure why.  Anyway, I did manage to get plastic up on the windows on the west side of my living room.  It's still cold in here, btu I think it will help. Tomorrow I hope to be able to do the other windows in the living room. It makes a huge difference when it's windy.  I also put the plastic up on the door and window in my laundry/mud room.  It is part of the addition to the house that includes the garage and isn't on the regular heating system.  So, it has a built in electric heater, but it gets really cold in there.

My parents are now planning to come and visit tomorrow.   We'll see.  I think they'll come.  It's supposed to be sunny and 52 degrees so they shouldn't have any problem driving.

I doubt entrapment would fly, but I don't know the details.  For entrapment you have to prove essentially that but for the government activity you wouldn't have engaged in the activity.  That's a hard thing to prove if you had the plan for the bomb. If it hadn't been for the government, he would likely have gotten his bomb materials elsewhere.  That's not entrapment.   Of course if the facts are different, then there may be a possibility

I think the issue will come down to "plan" versus "attempt" - the latter being a much more serious offense - while the plan originated with the perp, the Feds were clearly instrumental in assisting in maturing the "plan" into an actual "attempt".

It should be an interesting case to watch develop.

They can assist in the plan without it being entrapment

Thank you.  I got a kick out of the dogue de Bordeaux (french mastiff).  I was surprised they only mention the number of the dog, not the name.  I'm curious who the cutie of a Bernese Dog is.  The Saint Bernard was also cute.  Comparing the two Swiss dogs makes me wonder why so many people ask if Sherlock is a St. Bernard.

Cute photo Ginny.

Thanks, DR Jane!  She loves her work and is very excited because Miami has become MAC-East champs and will play in the MAC championship next Friday in Detroit.

It is a lucky person who enjoys their work. :)

The announcer you hear is the announcer at the actual show.  The TV announcers told their names, the owners, where they were from etc.

I think one big reason people thing that Sherlock is a St Bernard is because they don't know about Berners, but everyone knows St. Bernards.  They seem to have similar body shape and size and the same colors although not the saem actual coloring.  I could be wrong, but that's my guess

I'm sure you are correct.  I've seen clothing for Bernese Mt. Dog owners that say "I'm not a Saint"  It isn't just Sherlock.  People pass him on the street saying "Beethoven" & I yell back "NO! Bernese Mt. Dog".;D

Tomorrow Mom and Dad want to go shopping. So we're going to go to the mall.  I'm going to stop at Barnes and Noble and look at The Nook.   I'm pretty sure that's what I want.  Mom said she'd go in on it with me for my Christmas present.  That sounds good to me.  I think the fact our library is going to start having books I can read on the Nook made the decision for me.  I'm just going with Wifi. I can always load up books at home and take it with me.

OK, TOD- What I hate most about what's going on in the world is that people only want to hear things they agree with.  If someone has a different point of view, they are attacked, shunned, ridiculed etc.  It's happening by people of all political beliefs, so this isn't a one vs the others.  It's become "the way to be"    I think it distroys what used to be lively conversations about issues that were a good way for everyone to learn and grow.   I'm sure there are a lot of people who may have very interesting things to say, but they don't want to face the consequences so they don't say anything.   I think it's sad

Oh...

For those DRs who may be interested, and don't have them yet on DVD or Blu-Ray, the first three seasons of "Mad Men" are only $9.99 each on Amazon right now. -And, yes, that's for the regular DVD or the Blu-Ray sets.

Back from the mountains! This is the first time we've been able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my dad's family. Usually we have to split it up between my mom's and Greg's folks. Since my step-sister was working that day, they celebrated today and it was great to be able to be with them. There was about 3 times as much food as necessary but I guess they do this so there will be a lot of leftovers. My dad was happy that his team, OSU, won. (Sorry, Ginny!)

Went out on a good, long day. Started with Pilates, followed by a fun showing of "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest." Satisfying ending to the film trilogy. Then I went with a friend out to see a Christmas parade, Santa, etc. at one of the larger resorts. The big  event for us was getting to pet the two live reindeer they brought in.

Chinese for dinner afterward -- sauteed fish with green vegetables, a fried seafood combo, a beef with noodle dish and wonton soup with chrysanthemum tea. The latter made me warble a little Sondheim.

Then a little shopping in which I found season 1 of "Bosom Buddies" for $6. Can hardly wait to start watching that.

What's bugging me?

The loss of regional identity, which is being replaced with the same chain stores, apartment complexes, chain restaurants that make everything seem generic.

I'm cold.  Sleep at 8:30pm, ok, I have to be up at 6am.

The parking lot at the mall was full.

Had fun hanging out with the local bikers this morning.  Big event here in Ventura in 2 weeks.

Wine festival next weekend.

Xmas lights are starting to go up in the neighborhood and downtown Main St.
