Well, you've read the notes, the notes were very wintery and took place in Wonderland, and now it is time for you to post until the winter cows come home.

You might have visitors next week (DR Matthew and his partner Eric) and you have to be well rested.

Good morning, all! I think (fingers crossed) that this cold is heading out of my system. Last night I slept rather well for the first time in weeks. I did have several weird dreams, one about the Drama Book Shop and in the otherI was working in a law firm or agency as some sort of freelance person working on invitations of some sort for a "name," although I have no idea who this person might be now. The strangest part was that the dream also involved the title song from "Earnest In Love," which people at the firm/agency kept watching on video with me.

This morning I have another round of McGlinn estate work. I don't know if Geri and I will be pulling more materials or if we will be working on sales of music, etc. that had a deadline of Dec 15. After that, a trek to Toyland for more edits.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Wishes to BK's Brother and to DR William F. Orr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday morning greetings!  More cooking for me today - I've already started a small batch of "Lime Jello Marshmallow Cottage Cheese Surprise."  Well, actually, my version is "Lemon/Lime Jello Pineapple Cottage Cheese Surprise, with Pecans," but you get the idea...

Even though I'm technically on vacation it seems I can be on short-term disability during this time and recover 5 of my "annual leave" days. This year an exception has been made and we are allowed to carry over 15 days of annual leave instead of the usual 10 so since Human Resources has put me on short-term disability 5 of my annual leave days go into the pile for next year and in 2011 it seems I will have 6 weeks of vacation instead of 5!

This Christmas, My fellow Hainsies/Kimlets, is one of looking back...discovering past memories/reminiscing on days of yore.

And look what I found among a cache of treasures:  This photo from Christmas 1951 (I was 3 years old), and the first "documented" Christmas (photowise) of my life.

As you can see in the photo I posted above, "Santa Claus" had already arrived and laid out my presents.  A train set, a tractor with trailer, and some additional presents in the chair.   Note, too, the window treatment.  In my family, that is the "infamous" window treatment because my mother tried so hard to create something wintry/Christmasy.  She used cotton to simulate snow...and she used "glue" to make it stick to the windows.   She may have spent a few hours perfecting the look, but it took her a very long time...many months, even...to get all the glue residue off the windows.  It was the only time anything like that was or would be done again.

In the photo below, you can see me with one of the "wrapped presents" I received.  It was a baby doll.  My grandfather was apoplectic, but my mom said it was what I wanted.  My memories, for what they are worth nowadays, are all of the chalkboard and the tractor (sans trailer).  I had those objects for many years after.

I'm reading that NY Times Spiderman article that says teh show will start again tonight.  It is interesting that on one line they say that the injured stuntman is having back surgery.  Then on the next line it says he is going home probably tomorrow and will make a full recovery and return to the stage. Glad he will be okay.
