Wireless is pretty wonky here this morning.

Yes, DR JRand, those big glasses were cool in the early '80s, but mine were HEAVY!

Of all the ladies I saw on the red carpet, I think I liked Michelle Williams the best.

I recall that we once bought a container of Chiffon butter with a similar pattern.

John G. I don't know if the tickets for Follies have officially gone on sale but we have a friend who is a donor to the KC and he gets first crack at tickets before they go on sale to the public so it's all in his hands now.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And it's supposed to snow and sleet here in NYC later tonight.

*I blame DR Cillaliz for the sleet. ;)

I stopped watching the Golden Globes forty-five minutes in.  I couldn't take any more of the host.

In other news...

I need to be down in Chelsea in about an hour, so that means I need to spend the next 15-20 minutes making myself presentable.

Laters...

I still don't know how to post a photo so here is the link to the dress that I liked the best when I looked at the news this morning.

Has anyone else here been watching DOWNTON ABBEY on Masterpiece Whatever-They're-Calling-It?  I think it's absolutely wonderful!  If you liked UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS, you would most likely want to take this series in, as well.  The second episode ran last night.  I don't know if it's on Hulu or On Demand or not.  I do know that the entire series was released last week on DVD...

I was going to go over to Largo today to the SPCA to discuss arrangements for Sheena and Toby, should something ever happen to me but there is such a bad storm right now that I had to cancel my appointment.

I don't like to drive over the bridges that cross the bay when it's dry but a rain slicked road is to scary for me.   Not to mention I really don't know my way around Largo.  I don't want to cause an accident by going to slow or not knowing the turn lanes.

TOD:

I was actually thinking about this the other day.  I would love to see a movie (or better yet, a TV miniseries) made from Mark Helprin's WINTER'S TALE.  I remember at the time I read it, I thought that a young Peter O'Toole would have been ideal for the lead character.

That was my favorite, too, DR Danise.

re: Natalie Portman's dress last night.

It was okay but I really didn't like it that much. But the funny thing is that I think the rose was the best part! (DR Cilla said the dress would be better without it).

My least favorite get-up from last night's red carpet was Tilda Swinton's, which made her look like she was wrapped in a sheet of butcher's paper.

I think that Michelle Williams' dress (pictured above) looks okay in the picture. But I did not care for it on the Red Carpet. Looked like curtains.

I have more Turner news.

While doing my weekly search, I came across a newspaper listing that his business property is being sold due to forclosure.  I fired an email off the law firm asking about my rights.  I have to wait until the sale to see if there is any money left over from the sale and then I can make a claim.

The sale is in Febuary.

I hate to say it but I didn't know who half of the people on the red carpet were or what they were famous for.
