The foundation check from December arrived. Tomorrow I mail my check for the health insurance premium. I guess I'm good for a couple of months.

DR George, I had never read about the history of Mozart's names before. Thanks for posting it.

My pleasure.  I knew that "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart" wasn't all that there was to his name, but I also didn't know about the history.

Off to cover an early breakfast event. This is a prelude to tomorrow's Cowboy Breakfast, the largest free breakfast in the world. If the weather is fine tomorrow, tens of thousands will show up for free breakfast tacos, some country music and some fun at way too early an hour.

This morning, the volunteers are making 7,000 or so tacos to take to the Army Medical Center in town and hand them out to vets and hospital staff alike.

Wow!
Actually, it was only 3,000. But it was impressive to watch them.

Is that you on camera, or are you the voice off-camera?
Voice off camera. The man on camera is the chairman of the event.

DR John G now that I've walked Sherlock I've had time to check out http://www.savorsa.com.  You have a nice site.  If I knew anyone in the area I would send it to them.
Thank you. I appreciate that.

I woke up and looked out the window this morning and decided to take the day off.  But I'm wondering if the office was open at all--I logged in to our office network and saw no one on-line in Office Communicator.  So maybe I had a snow day afterall...
I remember snowfalls like that and I'm glad to see them via pictures. I hope your body isn't  aching after shoveling all that.

Things appear to be headed in the right direction, but I won't hear until later if the papers were signed on their side.

And I spoke with Mom today. She's still in a lot of pain, which she was told about before the surgery, but she says she never imagined it would be like this. That said, she has started reading again, the pills are working their magic and she has taken a few steps around the house.

Laughter is not the best medicine in her situation, as laughing only brings on more pain.

DR Dan (the Man) your photos remind me more of our days in Massachusetts.  In PA we had a short driveway & an attached garage.  I have wonderful memories of sledding in PA.  Your photos also remind me why I want to go to an even warmer climate than we currently live in :)

I might change my mind when I get older and moving piles of snow gets to be too much for me, but for now I still enjoy having four seasons, even if it includes moving piles of snow.

So true.  I'm glad the pills are helping and she is able to move about some.

I would miss spring and fall if we moved.  Four mild seasons is nice, especially if we have a mild winter as we are right now.
