I stepped out of my bank this morning, hit a patchg of ice, flew up into the air and landed on my back between my shoulder blades. My hat flew one way, my glasses another. The wonderful ladies coming in opposite directions ran to my assistance. One helped me up while the other retrieved my glasses and cap. Right now I'm very sore but happy there was no further damage.

My gosh, I hope you are okay, elmore.  I am afraid you will feel worse tomorrow.

I'm sore but I will survive. After dinner, I'm taking a very hot bath, and at bdtime, I'm having a vodka and tonic and some extra stength Tylenol.

BK, about how much would it cost someone to have dinner and the show at the Gardenia?  A two drink minimum would be a waste on me (HOW much for Club Soda?); but I have always wanted to go to a supper club.

I just saw the strangest thing out in the parking lot behind my apartment.  Parked in front of the other building is an SUV.  Someone (the driver or ?) has placed a large crucifix under the driver's side windshield wiper. The crucifix is about a foot long and has a three dimensional Christ figure that looks to be made of silver.  Jesus is facing the driver's seat.

I have no idea who or why that was done?

Thursday morning greetings!  SW Ohio is returning to normal and Rob drove HIS OWN CAR to fire class today.  I'll venture out later in MY OWN CAR - because I can.

DS Rob had to take a class on how to start a fire?

LOL!  No, he learned that in Scouts, but now he's learning how to put them out in firefighter training.

DR Edi,

Thank you, Jane! That is delightful!

I've been spending a lot of time in the mountains lately with my dad and his very large Great Pyrenese, so I understand more now how much force a big dog can wield!

Don't let the dog knock you down or pull you.  Be sure to hold the lease when you walk him/her (photos?) and not loop it through your wrist.  It is important you can let know if needed.  Sitting down quickly is a good way to keep a dog from pulling you.  Unfortunately with my shoulder injury I can't do that anymore.

Regarding Nicky's interest in the neighbor (which is not quite the same as my interest in the neighbor):

Nicky doesn't like people food
Nicky doesn't seem interested in food smells
Nicky does not like shrimp
I don't think the neighbor is dead, because both he and his girlfriend would have to be dead; and if so, who keeps driving their two cars?

My guess is that they may have gotten a cat.

;D  Why not ask them?

Not that you should be mixing alcohol & Tylenol.

Back from a very long day to find no power. 1000 homes in Studio City are sans power. A tree fell on some wires about two hours ago. Brilliant. Estimated time of restoring power, two in the morning, although it could be sooner. I'll probably go somewhere with wifi to post notes a little later. I just hope the computer and modem and router can all reset themselves without a problem.

Bruce at least it isn't cold there and you have water.  Vibes your food stays fresh in the frig/freezer.  Don't open them ;)

Hey everyone.  Nothing to say, really - just "hey".  The Wedding Singer is going well, fun to play, and the kids are doing a great job.  Everything else is cruising along.  That's all from the East Bay.

I was wondering if it could be a priest's version of a Handicap Placard.  I mean, "Don't tow me away, this is God's business."

I have never seen anything like it.  The crucifix looked expensive.
