Yes, DR Vixmom, Rob and I both are glad to have our own cars back.  My day today was kind of shot by the water main drama, but tomorrow I have a lot of errands to do.

DR elmore - I hope you wake up tomorrow not in pain.  In the meantime, it's best to take Advil if you're going to have a vodka and tonic. Tylenol and alcohol are not good for the liver.

Thank You for all of the Travel Vibes. They really did seem to help today. My bus ride from 125th Street to LGA did take a bit longer than usual due to all the residual snow still blocking some lanes. However, once I got to the airport, it took me just under three minutes to get from the curb, through security and to my gate. My flight was relatively uneventful - I just wish the gentleman sitting next to me had taken a shower or two before boarding the plane. Thankfully, it was not a full flight, and there was seat between us.

The hotel is nice - we're at a new place this year - and I already got my fix of Gus's World Famous Hot and Spict Fried Chicken. There is also a high school band convention at this hotel this weekend, and I'm just hoping that all of the participants have good chaperones who enforce the curfews.

It is cold here in Memphis, and they're expecting some snow tonight. Hopefully we won't wake up to a surprise four inches of snow covering the roads like we did last year.

Even if the chaperones enforce the curfews, it won't stop the kids from swinging from one balcony to another.

Well...

Apparently, this is some sort of gathering of the "Elite of the Elite" high school band members in the region... And they have their first session at 8:00am... So... We shall see...

I was wondering if it could be a priest's version of a Handicap Placard.  I mean, "Don't tow me away, this is God's business."

So, DR Ginny, how do you and Richard feel about driving to Wooster this summer to see the Ohio Light Opera prevent present my Cole Porter show JUBILEE?

OH! And I know a couple of singers who will be returning to OLO this summer. I shall have to ask them which operas and roles they'll be singing.

Really enjoyed Seth Rudetsky and his Deconstructing Broadway show tonight.  We laughed and laughed and laughed.  What a fun way to spend a cold winter night

Well...

It's a very "Band Geek-y" group of kids. They're all talking about which reeds they use, what their favorite mouthpieces, solo and ensemble repertoire, etc...

Just as long as they're not running in my hallway at 2:00am... That's all that matters.

Did he include "Turkey Lurkey Time"? No matter how many times I see him deconstruct that clip - either live or on YouTube - it and he still makes me laugh.

BK, about how much would it cost someone to have dinner and the show at the Gardenia?  A two drink minimum would be a waste on me (HOW much for Club Soda?); but I have always wanted to go to a supper club.

DR TCB - I've been to a couple of places with a two-drink minimum and cokes and soda waters are counted as "drinks".  Of course, they charge you $5-8 for a Coke, so...
