Seth is so animated, I can't remember half of what he did. There was one Streisand bit where she mispronounced the end of a word that had the audience doubled over.

Are these on Youtube?

You can pull some of them up on his BLOG. Just click on "Deconstruction" in the right hand column.  You can also just search for "Seth Rudetsky Deconstructing" on YouTube.

My favorite is his comparison of Patti LuPone's Evita v. Madonna's Evita. ;)

OH! And that great clip of Liza Minelli NOT blinking.

And now...

It's been a long day, and I have an early morning ahead of me - as well as 200 auditions to play...

Goodnight.

Jose, that Evita comparison is really funny, too.

I, too, need to turn in. I don't want to wait up for midnight to see if it snows.

OH!

And I also love how he deconstructs Barbra Streisand's constantly lowering keys for the song "People".

I logged into youtube to do a search for that, and I discovered that my video of the Indianapolis Airport has 801 views. Who searches for stuff like that?

See, now I would wait up to see snow. But that's because the last time it snowed here was about 20 years ago.

I got a kick out of Seth deconstructing Barbra Streisand changing words.  Like mute to mule and...I can't even remember the other one.  He's just so nonstop it's hard to remember everything he did.  But, it's really funny

Today, I went to a local (Tacoma...only about 35 miles away) conference for users of the computer system that our library has.  It was interesting, but not very useful for me.  They mostly talked about circulation stuff and technical/computer services issues, but nothing about acquisitions, which is what I do.  I acquire.  But like I said, it was interesting.  The drive up and back was quite uneventful.  We had no trouble on the freeway and got a parking space right behind their courier entrance, so we only had to walk across an alley to get in the building.  That was very convenient.  I was able to (legitimately) put on my time sheet that I worked 10 hours.  So, I get to leave work early tomorrow!  That'll be different. ;)

Today in my mail, I received a package from Amazon.co.uk.  A Region 2, PAL DVD of the new series, "Sherlock," from BBC.  The least expensive on Amazon.com right now goes for $16.89 and including shipping, I paid $13.67 (that's £8.28) from England!

I remember when Futurama was still on, the first three seasons were available on DVD in England and in the US, only the first season was available for purchase!  What's that all about??

I can't remember how or when I first found out about the idea of region code-free DVD players, but I remember that BK had recommended a website and I bought a player from that site.  I still have it and it still works great!
