By the way, each year I mean to post this, but always forget...

For those who have an interest in classic horror/science fiction (or even current horror and science fiction) films/tv/magazines/ect, the 9th Annual Rondo Awards voting has now begun.

You can find the ballot and the rules here: http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/topic/36293/S--OFFICIAL-BALLOT---NINTH-ANNUAL-RONDO-HATTON-CLASSIC-HORR

I have voted every year, although not in every catagory.

In fact, you will see that KRITZERLAND's release of EARTH VS THE SPIDER soundtrack has been nominated in the Soundtrack section! Congratulations BK!
Congrats on the nom, BK!

I was wondering if someone who uses twitter could help me.

If you enter a contest and they ask you to tweet something they often ask for the link. I cannot figure out how to give the exact link. I can go into my profile and give a link to my account. But I can't figure out how to link to a specific twee.

Thanks if anyone knows.

Well... I think I know a thing or two about Twitter... ;)

Usually, you just need to ReTweet (RT) the link that has the link in it.  You can do the old-fashioned RT where you cut and paste the tweet, and then add "RT" in front of it. Or you just click on the RT button.

If this an ongoing contest, there might be a link to the contest in a past tweet, so just bring up the Profile and scroll back until you find the tweet/link in question.

Ask BK:

Hey, Bruce!  Have you tried, or are you going to try, this "umami burger"?

Hairdresser Teddy has been trying to get me to try it - and I will.

DR DtM - I can't recommend this book highly enough.  If you haven't read it already.....probably you have to get a used copy, but it is available for kindle.

http://www.amazon.com/Short-History-Small-Place-Novel/dp/0805033203

Thanks, DR JRand.  It looks like one that I'll enjoy.  I'll order it for my Kindle and read it after my next-on-the-unread-pile book.

I would eat any of those burgers, especially that stink burger, in a second.

Thankfully only one. If I had more than one, I'm sure the stairs would be covered in the rising flood of books.

Guess no one read the notes.  Brilliant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Excellent Vibes &Xylophones for BK in this Assistant Crisis! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, I read the notes, but, if you want to get snarky, when I find several paragraphs in various places about this shipping problem, I start glossing over things.
I always read the notes before I look at the new posts.
I'm off to Encores!
The goddam space bar on my keyboard is sticking and I am not happy about it!
Oh, I think we've all been guilty about going on about things, yes?  The title of the notes was - AGITATED.  I was, I am, and that's the way it is.  If I went on about it, I went on about it, as any sane, normal person would have.  Not that I am either sane or normal.
And I love you, sane or crazy!
And I sent you the Vibes and Xylophones because of that.
I'm wondering if it's something with moon alignment or any of that nonsense, but yesterday was the most agitated I've been in ages, too, and I woke up feeling a little of the same.
Whatever is causing it, I hope it passes for all of us.
I'm really angry at one of the (too many) jobs I am on, and I find it affects every other. I had to call Joshie yesterday and apologize for being so pissy in the office.
I got GWTW yesterday, so I got the correct CD!
This space bar is working my last nerve.
I am clearly home. The orchestra books are ready to be shipped to Carroll's and Joshie finished. I've got Dates of several dead people who worked with Victor Herbert that I hope I can find on the internet. Yesterday, at the NYPL, I spent my time going through the VARIETY obituary files from 1900 to 1966.
According to Baker & Taylor (our library's major vendor), the publisher status for "The Music Man" is "MORATORIUM/NO Activity allowed."
