On my way to a taxi, one of the bags broke from the weight of the books. Oy! I don't know where I'll line up more shopping bags by tomorrow, but I will try.

A Question for BK:  can you give a hint as to what the newest cast album release will be...and if you can, what is it??

:D

I can say it has a wonderful score, was a smash on B'way, but did not do well in London, although the London cast recording is lovely.

My guess is 1776 (but that's only a guess--I'm not taking any wagers!)

Go to an Army/Navy store and find a canvas duffel bag or sea bag.

A sea bag has one strap that allows you to carry it on one shoulder.  A duffel bag often has two straps so you can carry it like an oversized backpack.

Either bag can alllow you to carry a lot of books.

DR Elmore - I have loads of canvas tote bags from library conferences.  Would you like a few?

I doubt they would arrive in time to finish this move. Thanks for the offer.

Larry, do you have luggage on wheels? Anthony and I have found them to be helpful when making a move with lots of stuff. Fill it up, pull out the handle and pull it down the street to the taxi or subway.

FSM, via its distributor Screen Archives, has just announced the release of the original soundtrack score, in blazing stereo, by Nathan Van Cleave for "Robinson Crusoe on Mars."

Elmore, perhaps you should stop reading your e-mail for better or for worse.

Me, too. I'm glad I don't know what Katy Perry (sp?) sounds like after all these audition spoofs in which she is mentioned.

Back from submitting our passport applications.  The clerk looked at my Oregon birth certificate the way some people look at President Obama's.

Sounds like you are planning on a trip outside of the USA, Ginny. Did I miss a post where you said where you are going?

No, DR Laura, I haven't mentioned it publicly yet.  Richard and I made a deposit yesterday on a fall river cruise in Germany with the Miami University Alumni Association.  We'll spend some time in Paris before and after the cruise.  And Rob and Mary Linda are planning to honeymoon in Canada.

I posted an email to a list serv about an issue with our state bar that I was upset about.  Holy moly on rye did I cause a ruckus!   sounds like they've had meetings about my email and I got a very sharply worded email from one of the officials telling me I was wrong in what I said in the email about past policy of the Bar.   I responded privately to the same person how I got the information I posted.   I haven't heard another word from him.

I was supposed to speak at a seminar sponsored by them in April.   I decided not to do it.  I didn't have a very good experience when I chaired a committee there in the 90s and now this has reared its ugly head, so I decided to cancel.  I provided names of possible alternate speakers and it's about 6 weeks away, so I didn't really leave them in the lerch too much, but I just don't feel like dealing with it

I did get a number of supportive emails from others saying they were thinking the same thing I was.  So I'm not at all sorry I said what I said.

DR Ginny, your upcoming trip sounds like fun!

Did those looking at your passport accuse you of being from Kenya?

Good Afternoon!

Everything is in the storage unit! -Well, almost everything is in there. -And, best of all, it all fit! -Although, quite snugly. Alas, I forgot to load my 2-drawer file - that's not the right term - so, I'll deal with that tomorrow.

Right now, I'm taking a little breather, and then I'll start sweeping and dusting. And then I'll turn in my keys. :)
